10 scary animals from the land down under that will make you happy you don't live in Australia! Subscribe for more amazing videos! ► http://bit.ly/Subscribe-to-Richest ◄ The land down under is quite different from the rest of the world. For one, the seasons are reversed. That means that Australia is in the middle of winter when Americans are in the middle of summer. Australia also has something that scares us all: terrifying creatures. It seems that everything is bigger in Australia too. Have you ever seen an Australian spider? They look like they’re big enough to eat a small dog! Living in Australia comes with its own risks when it comes to interacting with wildlife. For the most part, locals can live comfortably. But there are some creatures that are just too much, and even the locals get spooked by them. If you have a love for animals and mysterious creatures, then Australia might just be the place for you. If you’d rather have your animal interactions at the zoo, then you’re perhaps better off staying far, far away from this beautiful continent. 10 REAL Kids Who Were Born Creatures https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dZ4_tpboeQY Kids Who Were Raised By Animals https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JfU0GsIXMhs Our Social Media: Facebook: https://facebook.com/TheRichest.org Twitter: https://twitter.com/TheRichest_Com Instagram: http://instagram.com/therichest For more videos and articles visit: http://therichest.com/ For copyright matters please contact us at: [email protected]

Abandoned Australian Wildlife park. Decaying, left to rot.

28:43
This wildlife park was closed down in 2012 due to offences against the wildlife. They also did not hold a license to display native animals to the public. Due to the operator of this park not being able to obtain the license needed to run this park, they were evicted and surrendered all the animals to the rspca. Since then this park has just been sitting, nothing so far has been done with it. There's no news on if its being sold or going to be turned into something else. Will just have to keep an eye on this place and see what happens with it. The Shark that is displayed is a 5 metre Great White shark. *it is dead and is a taxidermy piece*...It died in 1998 in tuna fishing nets in South Australia. It is being preserved in this tank in formaldehyde. Please check out my other explores on my channel and pictures of all my explores on my instagram. 10 Sea Monsters ATTACKING A Boat!

12:03
Check out these 10 sea monsters attacking a boat! This top 10 list of ocean creatures like whales and great white sharks attacking a ship shows some bizarre stories caught on camera! Subscribe For New Videos! http://goo.gl/UIzLeB Watch our "MYSTERIOUS Creatures Living At The BOTTOM Of The World!" video here: https://youtu.be/Efhjc-Gu508 Watch our "SECRETS Casinos DON'T Want You To Find Out!" video here: https://youtu.be/hAoABuvzOZM Watch our "RAREST And Most EXPENSIVE Cars In The World!" video here: https://youtu.be/MtCnWSqqilg 10. Great White Shark If you’ve been on a boat out on the ocean, a Jaws attack has probably crossed your mind. Even if it’s just barely!! Then of course you rationalize that the chances of that happening are practically 0. Practically. That’s what Terry Selwood, a 73-year-old Australian fisherman learned in 2017, when a great white shark leapt out of the water, into his boat!! 9. An Eagle Ray Rays seem like beautiful, serene creatures - but they can be extremely dangerous, even if you’re on the relative safety of a large tourist boat. In 2011, Jenny Hausch had rented a 26-foot catamaran for her family to take a trip in Florida. Sounds really nice right? 8. Swordfish In 2017, Alan Pope, a British tourist, was on a boat trip getting ready to go snorkeling in Indonesia when everything went horribly wrong. Without any warning, a swordfish jumped out of the water and into the boat, and impaled his neck with its bill. The end snapped off, and left six inches of the sword still jabbed inside his neck, just millimeters from instantly killing him. 7. Sperm Whales The Gulf of Alaska is a prime fishing location, especially for those trying to catch black cod. In these waters, though, there is a much larger creature that also likes eating the fish- sperm whales. They are the ocean’s largest toothed predators, and while they are quite capable of catching food for themselves, they much prefer taking the easy route. 6. Giant Squid Mostly creatures of legend, giant squids are mentioned in many old mariners tales of dangers at sea. But they are rarely seen, let alone involved in attacking boats. So when a team of French sailors came face to face with one in 2003, they almost didn’t believe it!! 5. Bull Shark You might think that a great white shark would be the most problematic shark species to boats, but there’s another type that can be more aggressive, and more likely to risk an encounter. 4. Jellyfish Sometimes it’s the smallest things that can have the biggest effect, something that became ever so apparent in 2017 when Chinese scientists were investigating why their aircraft carriers were experiencing difficulties. They found that large swarms of Jellyfish were getting caught up in the propulsion systems! This would stop the ships dead in their tracks, or cause the engines to overheat and cause extreme damage. 3. Mako Shark This next story took place just last year, 2017 in Long Island, New York. A fishing charter boat was taking guests to the location where they find the widest variety of fish, when suddenly a Mako shark jumped onto the side of the boat. Unfortunately for the fish, it managed to get itself stuck in the handrail of the boat and, despite thrashing about, it couldn’t free itself. 2. Black Marlin Game fishing is a popular pastime for many enthusiasts, but when you’re chasing after some of the largest and most powerful marine creatures on earth, you have to be ready for the unpredictable. Again last year, things went very wrong indeed for a fishing boat off the coast of Panama. They had caught a black marlin, a species that can weight up to 1500 pounds and reach speeds of up to 50 miles per hour. 1. Killer Whale If you’ve ever watched a nature documentary that’s featured Killer Whales, you’ll be all too familiar how organised and clever they can be. Pods work together to catch prey, and even tilt ice flows to trap seals. When they turn these skills towards human activity, the results can be frightening. From cobra vs mongoose to lion vs tiger we countdown the top 14 biggest animal fights caught on camera. Shocking fight, between a giraffe and a lion in the plains of Africa, most would assume that the giraffe would be defeated easily by the king of the jungle. However, this is no jungle and the giraffe manages to use its long legs and high jumps to stomp the lion repeatedly, causing the giraffe to win the fight. In this amazing video, two rather small but deadly animals go head to head. The cobra and mongoose take shots at each other respectively. Until the mongoose gets a firm bite on the head of the poisonous snake, and making itself the unexpected winner. In this fight in the Australian outback, a giant snake and a crocodile take each other on. At first the crocodile grabs the snake between its teeth. The python snake then coils itself around the crocodile, and strangling it. The fight lasted for hours, but the snake emerges victorious. In this shocking fight, a jaguar slowly emerges behind an exacting crocodile in the wetlands of Brazil. The jaguar sinks it teeth into the back of the crocodile in order to constrict the crocodile. The jaguar then carries off its prey, after the destruction it has just caused to the crocodile. In this video, a cobra snake has just discovered a nest of mongooses. As it plots to sliver in, a mongoose uses a tunnel to sneak up behind the snake a strike. The mongoose bites the snake in the head and they begin attacking each other. The snake then wraps up the mongoose in an attempt to strangle it. However, the mongoose frees itself, and begins to take painful bites at the cobra, eventually killing it. In this video, a shark is peacefully swimming through ocean territory. However, it’s swim is interrupted when an octopus disguised as coral rises up and wraps its tentacles around the shark. The giant pacific octopus was able to easily defeat the shark in this unlikely match up, despite the octopus being far lower down in the food chain. During this animal fight between an hyena and a pack of lions, the hyena uses their amazing dexterity to run quickly away from the lion pack. However, the hyena was soon caught up to by the pack, as they surround it and begin to bite it. In this unlikely match-up, a cobra and an eagle to head to head. The eagle tries to use its size to stand and peck at the cobra. But the cobra fights back attempting to bite back. However, on one bite when the cobra’s mouth is open, the eagle strikes and bites the cobra in the mouth. In this wild battle, recorded deep in the jungle a tiger and a huge lion go head to head. The pair spend hours wrestling and biting one another to see who the real king of the jungle is. When suddenly the tiger rolls over in defeat, after hours of fighting with the massive lion. In this shocking piece of footage from South Africa, a lion who is attacking a buffalo is suddenly changed at by 2 other buffalos. The lion is the launched 4 meters into the air by the giant male buffalo. The animals scuffled for a little while longer, but all walked away with no major injuries. Despite this, we think it’s pretty safe to say that the buffalo won this round. Mystery Sea Creature With No Eyes Found On Beach In Australia

03:29
The puzzling remains of an unidentified sea creature were discovered on the shore of an Australian beach over the weekend by a woman walking her dog. Sherry Simmons initially thought that the revolting blob was merely a big piece of driftwood until she and her bulldog Tank got closer and realized that it was a carcass. Despite feeling uneasy about the weird sight in front of her, Simmons decided to poke the oddity with a stick and reported that it was "soft to the touch." CTHULHU ATTACKS CHICAGO - Real or Fake

14:13
See a new "real or fake" everyday on my Facebook - http://www.facebook.com/billschannel Watch the original Hollywood Scotty video "Cthulhu Attacks Chicago" here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FkcDoUE8_Ec THE BLOOP VIDEO https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oJq9RZqbzLI Cthulhu is a cosmic entity created by writer H. P. Lovecraft and first introduced in the short story "The Call of Cthulhu", published in the American pulp magazine Weird Tales in 1928. Wikipedia. Also in this show, we have video claiming to show a fish that likes to play fetch, a crazy picture of a deep water sea creature, the tallest cat in the world, and a cat that likes to swing it's legs. MORE ABOUT THE CTHULHU Considered a Great Old One within the pantheon of Lovecraftian cosmic entities, the creature has since been featured in numerous popular culture references. Lovecraft depicts Cthulhu as a gigantic entity worshipped by cultists. Cthulhu's appearance is described as looking like an octopus, a dragon, and a caricature of human form. Its name was given to the Lovecraft-inspired universe where it and its fellow entities existed, the Cthulhu Mythos. Serval Cat Chimerea fish fish plays fetch cat swings legs In 2006, Bethesda Softworks together with Ubisoft and 2K Games published a game made by Headfirst Productions called Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth based on the works of Lovecraft. Cthulhu himself does not appear, as the main antagonists of the game are the Deep Ones from The Shadow Over Innsmouth, and the sea god Dagon, but his presence is alluded to several times, and a statue depicting him appears in one of the temples that will negatively affect the player's sanity. One of Cthulhu's "chosen", a Star Spawn of Cthulhu, a hideous creature similar in appearance to the abomination himself, also appears as a late-game enemy. Cthulhu appears as a monster in many video games. Terraria features bosses named after the character, and he appears as main inspiration for the story of the Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 Zombies saga. The massively multiplayer online role-playing game World of Warcraft have numerous references to Cthulhu and the Mythos, with one of the game's "Old Gods" named C'Thun resting in a sunken city. In 2016, Z-Man games released an alternate version of their board game Pandemic. This new adaptation Pandemic: Reign of Cthulhu is set in the Cthulhu Mythos and explorers race to save the world before Cthulhu returns.

9 Bizarre Sea Serpent Sightings

10:59
The most mysterious and strange sea monster sightings. Terrifying serpents in the ocean waters seen by scared people. 5 The Cape of Good Hope sea serpent The sighting recorded by the people onboard the HMS Daedalus is easily one of the most famous ones ever. It happened on August 6th, 1848, between the Cape of Good Hope and St. Helena. Captain Peter M’Quhoe submitted a surgically detailed description in his official report to the Admiralty, and also ordered several sketches to be made based on eyewitness accounts. These were printed in the Illustrated London News. According to him, the visible part of the beast spanned around 60 ft, with its head some 4 ft above water. It was described as about 16 inch in diameter, dark brown with a yellowish-white throat, and with either a mane or seaweed on its head.... 4 The mysterious Norwegian lake monster On August 1st 2012 three men went out on a fishing trip to Lake Hornindalsvatnet (or Hornindals Lake, we don’t really speak Norwegian here). Once they got there, they witnessed a weird and unexpected visitor: an apparent underwater serpent monster, about 70 m away from their boat. At 514 m, this is the deepest lake in Europe, so it’s not hard to believe that something is lurking down there, and all three men are sure that they didn’t see overly cheerful eels nor some kind of cable someone might have dumped. Andreas Solvik, Finn Nyhammer and Arvid Otterdal spend lots of time at the lake (Solvik lived by it for over 50 years), but they’ve never seen anything like this. They took some photos to share with the local media, but by the time they got to the exact spot, the creature was gone – leaving only a few ripples behind. 3 Nessie apparently has a Scandinavian cousin Somewhere in the vast expanse of Lake Seljord of Telemark County in Norway lives the local underwater serpent, affectionately known as Selma. Her first descriptions surfaced in written records from the mid-1700s, and she’s even proudly hissing from the Seljord Municipality Coat of Arms. In July 2012, the Vefall and Haga families went to visit the local artistic observation tower, when they witnessed weird movements in the water. Gunvor Vefall says she first saw Selma in 1995, whereas her mother saw it in the 70s. Her daughter Lisbeth filmed the bumps of the creature’s back as it moved through the water, and the video instantly went viral. There’s even an actual scientific expedition happening, searching for Selma, and the team is certain there is something down there. Of about 3000 locals, the majority have seen more or less of Selma’s writhing form, although they hesitate to share their stories outside their trusted circles, afraid that people would laugh at them. However, tourists are flocking to the lake for weeks on end, and no wonder. Nessie has a foreign cousin! 2 The famous Hook Island sea monster This picture was supposedly taken on December 12, 1964 by Robert Le Serrec, when he, as well as his family and Australian friend Henk de Jong, allegedly encountered this huge monster in Stonehaven Bay, Hook Island, Queensland. It has been heavily discussed in various cryptozoological literature, as well as being often featured in mystery books and books about monsters. Serrec gave a pretty detailed and vivid account of this encounter to the media, going so far as to describe the patterns of coloration, skin texture, and the shape of its pupils. He described the “creature” as having a large pale region on the tail, maybe an injury that made it rest in the shallow water. However, when people started looking into the whole affair – so, of course, into its author as well – it was found that Serrec had several unpaid debtor in France and was wanted by Interpol. Not really a trustworthy character. Even today, there’s hot debate about whether there is some unknown gigantic eel-like monster in Stonehaven bay, or whether it’s just a big plastic sheet hoax. 1 The terrifying anaconda from the deep This was actually captured by total accident. These people were just enjoying their vacation and decided to make a little home video for the memories. This is a frame isolated from that video. This enormous black slimy thing looks like the tail of a monster that leapt into the water to hide, but it is in fact a monster that leapt out of the water to attack. Look closely between the monster and the surface of the pier and you’ll see a set of legs, and a head on a leash near the woman. She was standing there with her dog, when a gigantic anaconda burst out of the water and snatched the poor pet away before anyone could blink. If you’re wondering why the lady doesn’t look disturbed at all, well that’s probably because this video is fake. Someone worked hard to create this small clip and it’s fooled quite a lot of people, but a lot of things just don’t match up. Or maybe we just don’t want to believe that it’s real.

Most DANGEROUS Sea Creatures!

11:16
Check out the most dangerous sea creatures! This top 10 list of scary deep sea monsters has some of the most terrifying ocean animals you won't believe exist! Subscribe For New Videos! http://goo.gl/UIzLeB Watch our "STRANGEST Things Found In The Ocean!" video here: https://youtu.be/XYfqi5VNgac Watch our "STRANGEST Things Found In The Philippines!" video here: https://youtu.be/vwIIeiOhTJ0 Watch our "Most STRANGE Things Found On The Beach!" video here: https://youtu.be/cQjpze_4z5U 8. Titan Triggerfish There's a misconception when swimming in the ocean that it's "obvious" which creatures will attack you and which ones won't. Like the Titan Triggerfish. Take a look at it. What do you think? Looks like a pretty regular fish right? Exactly! Plus, if you do a little research on Triggerfish as a species, they're actually pretty friendly fish, but this one is in a league of its own, and not in a good way. 7. Flower Urchin While some creatures might look like harmless plants, be careful because appearances can be deceiving!! The flower urchin looks like a nice little bouquet of flowers, and it is one of the most frequently encountered sea urchins. Which is not that great because these echinoderms know how to attack when the time is right! 6. Eels Eels are special creatures, and there are many different types of them living underneath the waters. And many you need to be careful of. Some just like to strike, but others, like the Electric Eel, like to just send a shock through your system. The Electric Eel is a creature that can well and truly charge itself up for an attack, and given that you're most likely underwater when you meet this creature, it means the attack is all the more potent. 5. Barracuda Barracuda are pretty recognizable fish. Not only does it get a bad rap because it killed Nemo’s family, but also because of it’s razor sharp teeth and long shiny body. Of all the different types of Barracuda, the Great Barracuda is the most impressive. After all, it has the name "Great" in it. This creature can be up to six feet long, which is pretty menacing on its own, but its trademark is its speed. 4. Pufferfish There are many fish in the oceans that scare people away, but for entirely different reasons. While an eel or a barracuda is a physical threat, a Pufferfish is a threat inside and out. On the outside, the Puffer Fish has plenty of spines, and if threatened, such as when a human approaches it, it'll fill itself with water and even air, to make it look much larger than before. It’s more of a sentence if you try to swallow it, but actually I think it’s kind of cute. 3. Stingray The Stingray is one creature that everyone should fear and respect. While their attacks are rare, they do happen, and like some other creatures on this list, they’re not afraid of attacking when they feel provoked. The most famous case of a Stingray attack was the strike and killing of beloved zookeeper and animal conservationist Steve Irwin, aka the Crocodile Hunter. 2. Sharks You don’t need me to tell you about sharks! While you can argue that sharks have always been feared, it was "Jaws" that helped bring the hysteria of sharks attacking humans to life. Which is actually kind of ironic, as most shark species DON'T attack humans, even when provoked. Shark attacks are actually pretty low when you look at statistics from around the world. 1. Box Jellyfish Surprised? I know it may seem like sharks are the obvious answer for dangerous sea creatures, but when it comes to the Box Jellyfish, it's a whole other story. The Box Jellyfish lives in the Indo-Pacific region and northern Australia. As such, more people are killed in Australia by the Jellyfish than snakes, sharks and crocodiles...combined! Cahill's Crossing - The World's Deadliest Crossing

03:32
Cahill’s Crossing is one of Australia’s most dangerous bodies of water in Australia. Each year, dozens of cars are washed into the river attempting to drive on Cahill Crossing. It’s an infamous feeding ground for saltwater crocodiles. It’s a notorious for its croc infested waters and human misadventure. A crocodile once decapitated a man there in front of his friends. Each year, dozens of drivers attempt to make it across the submerged crossing but instead end up being washed away into the croc infested waters. Others risk their lives by wading in the waters and fishing. Some even bring their children. Crocodiles frequently congregate at the river crossing, to feast on swarms of fish that head upstream with changing tides. It is referred to as ‘floating fish behaviour’ and up to 40 crocodiles can be spotted together at the same time, a spectacle that attracts big crowds. The area has become so well known, there are even viewing platforms to watch the crocodile feeding spectacle. The crossing is popular with tourists and fishermen — despite warning signs that point out an extreme risk of saltwater crocodile attacks. Yet some people continue to risk — and sometimes lose — their lives. Amateur fishermen, families including children and backpackers have been photographed standing in the water with crocodiles visibly nearby. World leading crocodile expert Grahame Webb says “that for every crocodile you can see, there are “10 you can’t”. BIGGEST Crocodiles In The World!

Check out the biggest crocodiles in the world! This top 10 list of gigantic beasts has some of the world's largest crocodiles ever caught on tape! Subscribe For New Videos! http://goo.gl/UIzLeB Watch our "STRANGEST Things Found In The Ocean!" video here: https://youtu.be/XYfqi5VNgac Watch our "STRANGEST Things Found In The Philippines!" video here: https://youtu.be/vwIIeiOhTJ0 Watch our "Most STRANGE Things Found On The Beach!" video here: https://youtu.be/cQjpze_4z5U 10. Gomek Saltwater crocodiles are usually left alone because of their massive size. They are the largest reptile on the planet and are known for being extremely territorial and aggressive! This monstrous saltwater crocodile, known as Gomek, was captured in Papua New Guinea. In 1985, he was purchased by millionaire Arthur Jones. 9. Cassius In 2011, Cassius was recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records as the world’s largest captive crocodile. The huge male saltwater croc was captured in 1987 in the Finis River of Australia’s Northern Territory after developing a reputation for attacking boats. He was caught by George Craig, the same man who captured Gomek in Papua New Guinea! 8. Lolong Like a mentioned before, in 2012, a saltwater crocodile named Lolong stole the spotlight from Cassius as the world’s largest captive croc. Lolong was caught in September 2011 in the Philippines, after a three-week-long manhunt that had been sparked by suspicions that he had eaten a fisherman, a 12-year-old girl, and numerous water buffalo in the area. 7. Yai Samut Prakan Crocodile Farm and Zoo, located near Bangkok, Thailand, claims to house the world’s biggest captive crocodile, named Yai, although the accuracy of that statement is up for debate. Yai hasn’t been officially recognized for this title since 1989. Hatched in 1972, Yai is a Southeast Asian Siamese and saltwater crocodile hybrid. Those two species don’t normally breed, making Yai especially unique. 6. Utan Similarly to Yai, Utan is also an uncommon Siamese and saltwater crocodile hybrid. He also once resided at the Samut Prakan Crocodile Farm and Zoo in Thailand, and enjoyed a turn in the spotlight as the world’s largest captive crocodile. Utan, who was born in 1964 and named after the farm owner’s son, is 18 feet long and weighs just over 2,000 pounds!! 5. Brutus Unlike most of the other crocodiles on this list, three-limbed Brutus lives in the wild. Brutus is known to hangout in the Adelaide River of Australia’s Northern Territory. According to rumors, his missing front leg is the result of a confrontation with a bull shark in the river’s estuary. There’s widespread evidence of Brutus’s status as a seasoned tough guy. 4. Bujang Senang Although crocodile attacks are nothing new in Sarawak, East Malaysia, (not that I know personally) - one massive reptile stands out distinctly in the collective memory of locals. The crocodile, known as Bujang Senang, began his reign of terror in the 1940’s, and then kind of disappeared. He became the stuff of legend until 1982, when he attacked a man fishing for shrimp. 3. Gustave Now, here’s one croc that you really don’t want to mess with. Gustave is rumored to have killed as many as 300 humans and has become the stuff of legend!! Located in Burundi, East Africa, the locals claim that this Nile crocodile snatches people by the river and dragging them into the water just to watch them drown and then leaves their bodies uneaten. 2. Dominator Dominator can be most accurately thought of as Brutus’s rival and is frequently sighted by tourists during sightseeing boat rides. Located a short distance down the Adelaide River from Brutus, he fell under scrutiny in recent years as the number one suspect of a deep flesh wound sustained by his slightly smaller arch-rival. It is Brutus vs. Dominator! 1. Sarcosuchus Imperator While you might be impressed by some of these modern-day reptilian giants, their predecessors were much bigger. Despite controversial evidence, some scientists believe that the biggest crocodile to ever live was the sarcosuchus imperator, also known as the SuperCroc, which grew to a maximum length of between 36 and 40 feet (11m-12m). 03:10
Get more Tips here! http://www.destinationtips.com When we thought we had seen every weird animal in Nature, here comes the crazy sea creatures you've never guessed existed. 1) Axolotl It's also known as the Mexican walking fish. You can find it in some lakes of Mexico. They're close to extinction because of tilapia and carp, aaaand because they're used in Mexican cuisine. 2) Headless chicken fish This is a Sea cucumber that can be found mainly in the benthic zone of the ocean feeding on sediment. It slowly moves pushing itself with its tentacles. 3) Sea pigs Let's be clear, when we hear about them, we think on this. But no, they're sea cumcumbers that can be found in the Atlantic, Pacific and Indian Ocean, at depths of over 1200–5000 metres. 4) Sea Angels These are a large group of extremely small, swimming sea slugs. They are hermaphrodites and move at speeds up to 100 mm/s. You can find them deep Antarctic waters. 5) Marrus orthocanna It is a colony composed of a number of specialised zooids linked together by a long stem. Although they seem like rockets they are found in the Artic and cold water. 6) Fathead It is a whitish colour flattened laterally. The texture of its body enables it to withstand the great pressures at the depths where it lives around Australia and New Zealand. 7) Kiwa This is a furry-clawed crab discovered 5,000-feet deep on a hydrothermal vent south of Easter Island. Named for the mythological Polynesian goddess of shellfish. 8) Halgerda terramtuentis It is a species of sea slug, a dorid nudibranch, (newdy-brank) shell-less marine gastropod mollusk. It can be found in the waters of the Northwestern Hawaiian Islands. 9) Bathykorus bouilloni This is a species of hydrozoan. No, it's not family of Darth Vader. It's just a hydromedusa that can be found at the Arctic, about 3,300-feet deep. 10) Dumbo Octopus The average life span of various Grimpoteuthis species is 3 to 5 years. And they can be found worldwide mainly in New Zealand and Australia. Which of these Weird creatures surprised you the most? Comment below!

AMAZING Recently Discovered Species

09:20
You’d think by now we’ve done a pretty good job at cataloguing all of the species in the world, but we’re far from done! Scientists believe there are around 8.7 million species in the world, with between 1 and 2 million of those being animals. And it’s thought the vast majority have not even been documented yet. 2017 saw a number of fascinating new discoveries, and we’ll touch on some of them today. Subscribe to Talltanic http://goo.gl/wgfvrr 10 - Not for human consumption… Don’t let the name Churro mislead you, there is nothing tasty about this new marine worm that was discovered in the Gulf of California in 2017. They’ve called it Churro because of the striking resemblance to a Churro, the delicious fried-dough pastry dessert that is dipped into sweet sauces. This worm is between 4 and 10 inches and feeds off molluscs like clams. 9 - Feeling Blue... I would be too if faced with this bright blue tarantula that was discovered in Guyana. It doesn’t even have a name yet, that’s how new it is! It was spotted by Andrew Snyder, who says his flashlight bounced off something very blue, which he thought was just a reflection. When he went closer, he was really surprised to see the bright blue legs of the spider. Firstly, this is the first blue tarantula found in South America, as they’re usually found in Southeast Asia, and secondly, this one was living in a colony, which is very unusual for spiders. 8 - 5 a day… If you’re brave, you can add this bizarre fruit to yours! It’s the obscure relative of the tomato, and it was discovered in Australia. This fruit has been known to botanists for 50 years already, but it was only described officially in 2017. 7th graders helped name this weird fruit the deathly fruit, and when cut open, the flesh of the fruit changes from whitish green to blood red and then matures into a dry, white bony state. The fruit looks very unappetising, and I doubt it’s going to be flying off the shelves anytime soon! 7 - Blooming marvellous… A new species of orchid was found last year, called the devil orchid aka Telipogon diabolicus. This orchid is a fusion of male and female flower parts and as you can see, looks a lot like the head of the devil! This plant is only found in a certain area of Columbia, which is currently threatened by reconstruction. 6 - Now you see me… Now you don’t! You’re aware of how lizards drop their tails in order to escape a predator, but this newly discovered gecko takes things a little further. This creature is covered with overlapping scales, and when it’s in trouble, has the ability to shed those scales and make a quick, naked getaway. Within a few weeks, those scales have grown back and the gecko is ready for action once again. 5 - Down Under… We head down 13,000 feet below the surface of the Pacific Ocean to meet a new species of sponge that was confirmed in 2017. Plenaster craigi have been found in 2013 and 2015, and it was just last year that it was confirmed as an official new species. It was discovered in the Clarion-Clipperton Zone, and live on metal-rich nodules that are common in that area. 4 - Look familiar? Pictured here is the Arcella gandalfi, and if you’ve watched Lord of the Rings, you’ll know why it got that name. These freshwater amoebas were rumoured to exist in Brazil, but they’ve only recently been discovered and confirmed to be real. Considering they’re a single cell organism, these amoeba’s are quite big, measuring 81 micrometers in diameter and 71 micrometers in height. 3 - Pretty in Pink… This is the Pink Floyd pistol shrimp, a new species of snapping shrimp found in the waters off the Pacific coast of Panama. Pink Floyd happened to be one of the favourite bands of the scientists who discovered it. As if the neon pink claw wasn’t strange enough, this crazy shrimp can kill its prey with noise! The snap of that giant claw is loud and powerful that it creates cavitation bubbles, which then burst into the prey, either stunning them or killing them. The sound reaches levels of 210 decibels, which is louder than a gunshot! 2 - No lazing around… An ancient giant sloth fossil was also found in 2017, hidden in an underwater cave in the jungle of the Yucatán in Mexico. This area is not known for many fossil finds, because the humid environment tends to destroy any traces of bones. Vicente Fito went diving in a limestone cave in 2009 where he made this remarkable discovery. He gave the bones to the National Institute of Anthropology and History in Mexico, where they’ve spent all this time piecing everything together. This new species of sloth is thought to weigh around 500-pounds! Apparently the oldest sloth fossil ever found is roughly 9 million years old, and was found in Argentina. 1...

Most AMAZING Creatures From The Ice Age!

Irish Elk Also known as Megaloceros, the Irish Elk is mysteriously misnamed, because it isn’t an elk and it isn’t Irish! It is actually the largest deer species that ever existed on Earth!! This massively impressive creature could grow to be around 2 meters (7 ft) at the shoulder and its antlers could span up to 3.6 (12 feet)!! 8. Megatherium When you think of sloths, you likely think of small and gentle, slow-moving creatures. And in the present day, you’d be right, but in the Ice Age, sloths were giant and aggressive!! 7. Short-Faced Bear In the Ice Age, one of the ancestors to modern day bears was much bigger, much heavier, and much more aggressive. It was known as the Short-Faced Bear, and it's one species that would be pretty scary if it were still around!! 6. The Moa From the beasts of the land, to the birds in the sky, there were many birds in the ice age, but few ever got as big as The Moa. But the Moa was actually a flightless bird. There were 9 species of moas and they were said to have grown to over 3.6m (12 feet) tall, and weigh over 230 kg (500 lbs). The Moa was a very isolated bird. They thrived in New Zealand for millions of years but abruptly went extinct. 5. Giant Beaver During the last ice age, it seems that many animals grew to giant proportions! Native to present day North America, this is the largest rodent to have ever lived, that we know of anyway. At a massive 2.7 m (nine feet) long, this was indeed a very large beaver. But, unlike its modern day cousins, we aren’t sure whether it had its characteristic long, flat tail that was used to help make dams. 4. Teratorn These birds, also known as (Argentavis magnificens) weren’t just massive, they could most certainly fly! The teratorn has the distinction of having been the largest flying bird ever found, so far! 3. Megalania In Australia during the Ice Age, there was a creature that roamed the Australian jungle as Apex Predator of the land: a massive lizard, called the Megalania. It was actually a monitor lizard, one that was bigger than a crocodile- about 23 feet long to be precise. It is estimated to have weighed between 500-4,000 pounds. 2. Saber-Tooth Tiger Actually, more properly known as a saber-toothed cat, these were a group of mammals that had long, curved saber-shaped teeth. Though it has many names, one of the most famous was the Smilodon. These massive cats were the ancestors to some present day cats, and they're still the prime example of how vicious the feline species can be at its peak. 1. Woolly Mammoth Perhaps the most representative animal of the Ice Age is the Wooly Mammoth!! To be fair, there were regular Mammoths, and Mastodons too in the Ice Age, but the striking look of the Woolly Mammoth has made it something that has transcended time. Caught a Monster Grouper that Weighed MORE than the BOAT

13:13
Max and I left the dock with one fishing mission, catch and release a Goliath Grouper that weighed more than his boat! The total weight of the boat hull is 550lbs, so we needed to find one of the largest Goliath Groupers in all of Florida to break this number. We started the day off fishing for bonito (false albacore). Within minutes, my reel started screaming and fish on! It turned out to be a huge snook! A monster Goliath Grouper tried to eat the snook while I was bringing it in. After releasing the snook, Max and I decided to try and catch the monster Goliath Grouper that tried to eat my snook. I used a live bonito for bait and then all of sudden there he was, the largest Goliath Grouper that I've ever seen! He ate the bait and immediately started towing the boat! We estimated the weight of this Goliath grouper between 600-700lbs. ▼ BlacktipH Products: http://bit.ly/blacktiph-shop ▼ Book a fishing adventure with Maxed Out Fishing Charters: http://bit.ly/fish-with-max ▼ Check out the new BlacktipH Merch http://bit.ly/blacktiph-merch-ft ▼ To learn more about the species of fish caught in this video, click the links below: • Goliath Grouper → http://bit.ly/goliathgrouper • Snook → http://bit.ly/common-snook ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ABOUT BLACKTIPH ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ BlacktipH Fishing brings you some of the most exciting fishing videos on the web. Deep Ocean: Lost World Of The Pacific Part 2 - David Attenborough Documentary HD

52:09
An underwater adventure in search of living fossils. The island of New Guinea in the Pacific Ocean sits on the equator, where immediately next to a richly-colored coral reef, a sharp underwater cliff drops down to 1,000 meters. A long-awaited exploration down the little known depths of this tropical sea is finally about to start. NHK has teamed up with eminent marine biologist Mark Erdmann, discoverer of the coelacanth in Indonesia. The spherical transparent submarine, which successfully captured the world’s first moving images of a giant squid in its natural habitat, is used as the team encounters true living fossil species one after another. During their last dive, in the darkest depths of caves in the deep-sea cliff, the crew encounters a huge, unknown exotic fish… Narrated by Sir David Attenborough. For this shoot, the submarine was equipped with a cutting-edge 4K camera, for pristine images. Join the film crew on an exciting adventure into a deep sea never before seen by humans, captured on six cameras shooting multi-angles, creating a breath-taking underwater documentary. Part 2: Lights in the Abyss The NHK team that captured the world’s first footage of a live giant squid in its natural habitat is setting out for another deep-sea adventure. They will give us a look at the amazing life forms with luminous bodies that have survived the harsh, pitch-dark deep sea environment of the Pacific.

10 BIGGEST Underwater Creatures In The world!

11:38
Check out the 10 biggest underwater creatures in the world! This top 10 list of mysterious deep sea monsters has some of the biggest and most bizarre animals that were ever found! Subscribe to World5List: http://goo.gl/cpJSA6 Check out our "13 Amazing Pets Who Saved Their Owners" video at: https://youtu.be/bMwLm16_Q-0 Check out our "7 Celebrities Who Gave Their Kids Up For Adoption" video at: https://youtu.be/vVrlJFZ8sME 10. Japanese Spider Crab For starters, let's think about some sea creatures you'd see on or near a beach. What's the first thing you see? For me, it's a crab. They're always wandering around, and if you're not careful, you can step on one, and you'll regret it...trust me on that. 9. Giant Clams When you hear those words, "Giant Clams", you likely think about a movie you've seen, or a TV show that exaggerated the massive size of these clams. I'm curious though, which one was it for you? 8. Portuguese Man-Of-War The sea is truly full of wonders, and because of that, we're still trying to learn all the secrets that it holds. Take, for example, the Portuguese Man-Of-War. When you look at it, what species of animal do you think it is? A jellyfish? A good guess, but that's actually incorrect. In fact, the Portuguese Man-Of-War is a collection of organisms that work together to move and act. 7. Ocean Sunfish Sticking with the "oddities" portion of the ocean, let's talk about the Ocean Sunfish. This creature is affectionately known as the "Swimming Head". Can you guess why? That's right, it's because it doesn't have a tail. If you look closely at it, you'll see that it's literal all rigid, save for its mouth of course. 6. Giant Squid Whether on the land, in the air, or in the ocean, there are tales of massive creatures that roam the waters and have caused havoc for humans that have gotten in their way. The Giant Squid is most certainly one of them. In fact, many feel that the Giant Squid is the basis for the legend of the Kraken, which is understandable given how massive these creatures are. 5. Basking Shark Sharks are famous, and notorious for being some of the most vicious and aggressive creatures within the ocean. So it might just surprise you to learn that the Basking Shark is not only the second-largest fish within the ocean itself, but it's also one of most gentle sharks in the water. That sounds like an oxymoron, doesn't it? 4. Whale Shark So, if the Basking Shark is the second-largest fish in the sea, what's the first? Well, that would be the Whale Shark, another creature that sounds like an oxymoron, yet this time works out when you think about it. After all, whales are massive, and this one definitely qualifies. True, it's shark nature is downplayed, just like the Basking Shark, but if we're focusing on size, this is one creature that lives up to the name both times. 3. Oarfish Speaking of wonders, let's talk about one that is so mysterious, so odd, and so rarely seen that when it first was taken in a picture, people actually thought of as a hoax. We speak of the Oarfish. This is a large fish that is actually the largest "bony fish" alive. In fact, the largest one found was 36 feet long. 2. Blue Whale So, we've already talked about the biggest fishes in the sea, but when it comes to mammals, there is only one candidate, the Blue Whale. In fact, the Blue Whale is so huge, that it dwarfs many man-made creations. This is a creature that is nearly 110 feet long! That's basically an 11-story building, and it probably weighs as much as that building, if not more! 1. Lion's Mane Jellyfish When we talked about the Portuguese Man-O-War, we noted that its tentacles reached at their peak 135 feet long. But noted that this was a rarity. In contrast, the Lion's Mane Jellyfish averages a tentacle length of 120 feet. And that's not including their bodies. Which means that the tentacles alone are bigger than the biggest creature in the sea via the Blue Whale.

The scientific name of Vampire Squid translates to 'vampire squid from and seems an apt name as its eight arms are connected by a cloak-like. 11 – Barreleye Coming next on our list is an astonishingly strange creature that can only come from a mad scientist or in this case from the deep sea. Barreleye, also known as spook fish get their name because of their barrel-shaped eyes. 12 – Oarfish Number 12 is Oarfish which is the longest species of bony fish, with lengths reported up to 17 meters and can weigh as much as 600 pounds. Just last year several beachgoers pulled a deceased oarfish from the sea in the Philippines. 13 – The goblin shark 13th on the list, the Goblin shark is a very rare species of deep-sea shark. It is a medium-sized shark and the length of an adult ranges between 3 to 4 meters. 14 – The Terrible Claw Lobster This tiny lobster is number 14 on our list and is apparently a very rare deep-sea lobster. The Terrible Claw Lobster gets its name because of its bizarre claws. 15 – Pacific Blackdragon The Pacific Blackdragon that ranks at number 15 on our list is a deep-sea predator that belongs to the Pacific Ocean and hence the name. 16 – The Narwhal Known as the "unicorn of the ocean," the narwhal is a rarely seen whale that inhabits mostly the Atlantic and Russian waters of the Arctic. 17 – Roughback batfish Though those lovely red lips are eye-catching, it still looks like it should have a good shave before it tries make-up again. 18 – Pelican eel At the 18th position is the Pelican eel, one of the most bizarre looking creatures in the deep sea with its most notable attribute being its large mouth. 19 – Spotted Handfish Have you ever seen a fish that prefers walking instead of swimming? If not then let’s introduce you to the second to last on our list. 20 – Blobfish Voted the world's ugliest animal in an online poll conducted by the British-based Animal Preservation Society, last on our list is the Blobfish which lives off the coasts of Australia and Tasmania. Since it lives about 2,000 to 3,900 feet deep in the water, it is very rarely seen by humans, aren’t we thankful for that! Make sure you paid close attention because those sea creatures are really rare! Did you happen to see one in real life?

What Lives At The BOTTOM Of The Mariana Trench?

11:15
Do you ever wonder what lives at the bottom of the mariana trench? This top 10 list of creepy deep sea monsters has some giant and bizarre creatures that are scary and mysterious! Frilled Shark The frilled shark has been around a long, LONG time. They’re ‘living fossils’, thought to have been swimming around for anywhere between 95 and 300 million years! Also while they were first discovered in approx 1880 they weren’t actually described until 2004 (the same ROV mission as the barreleye fish). This is one predator that really knows how to keep its head down. It lives at a depth of over 5,000 ft (1524 m). 9. Hatchet Fish Okay so if you came face to face with this dude you’d get one hell of a shock right? Meet the deep sea hatchet fish, so called because of its metallic, hatchet-shaped appearance. It can be found 5,000 ft (1,524 m) down. The metal like quality comes from its scales which is just as well because if it weren’t so shiny you’d have trouble seeing it! 8. Seadevil Anglerfish You’ve probably seen this one in the movies. A seadevil anglerfish appeared in Finding Nemo and the image has been used in some high profile shows like The Simpsons. They were first described in 1864 and can live at a depth of over 6,000 feet (1900 m). Like many deep sea species its movements are mysterious to experts and the only one filmed alive was in 2014. 7. Telescope Octopus Some deep sea animals like to take it easy, I mean there’s a lot of pressure down there!! Maybe none more so than the telescope octopus. Living anywhere from 500 - 6,500 ft (150 - 2000 m) below the surface it’s really laid back. In fact that’s literally what it does… lie back and use its eyes to look up for any food swimming by. 6. Benthocodon Usually when you think of a jellyfish you think of a transparent wobbly thing that stings your foot. Well not this one. The benthocodon isn’t transparent. It has a round, red top which is 2 - 3 cm in diameter and it won’t sting you unless you run into it 2,500 ft (762 m) below the surface. You’d have to be pretty crazy to be at that depth and even crazier without any flippers! 5. Barreleye Fish This fish with a transparent head shocked viewers when it appeared on Blue Planet! Also known as a “spookfish” it has a jelly-like forehead that allows it to look up through its skull, giving it greater visibility! Pretty freaky huh? It is a very efficient hunter that can live at a depth of at least 2,600 feet (800 m) and can be anywhere from 15 to 40 cm long. 4. Goblin Shark This shark is one ugly shark, hence why we call it the goblin shark! Of course I wouldn’t say that to its face poor thing! But its sword-like snout and prehistoric appearance makes it truly unique. 3. Zombie Worm Zombie worms, also known as bone-eating worms, were discovered by accident in 2002 when they appeared to be drilling into the skeletons of dead animals like whales and fish. This confused experts because they looked too squishy to be able to drill like that, but that is how they got their name. The answer came later on in 2012. 2. Foraminifera Foraminifera or ‘fora’ are tiny organisms from the ‘protist’ family. They vary between 100 micrometers and around 20 cm. Because many of them are so small and I’m guessing chewy, they are a prime source of food in the Mariana Trench. That’s a shame because there’s a lot more to these little things than meets the eye. 1. Ping Pong Tree Sponge The strangest name on our list is also the nastiest! Sure, Ping Pong Tree Sponge sounds like something out of Spongebob Squarepants and it’s one beautiful-looking life form. But despite this charming exterior this isn’t a thing to be messed with! It lives nearly 9000 ft (2743 m) underwater and if you’re a small creature it spells bad news. Origins Explained is the place to be to find all the answers to your questions, from mysterious events and unsolved mysteries to everything there is to know about the world and its amazing animals!

BIGGEST Sea Creatures Around The World!

Fin Whale The fin whale is the second largest creature on Earth after the blue whale. It has been severely affected by commercial whaling and now it is rare to see one. If you have seen one, consider yourself lucky! They can grow as long as 89 feet (27 m) in length and can weigh between 40 to 80 tons! The maximum ever recorded weighed in at 114 tons!! They can live to be over 100 years old if left alone. The fin whale’s body is built for speed and it can even go faster than the fastest ocean steamship. It’s capable of speeds of up to 37 km/h but can go short bursts of even 47 km/h, earning it the nickname “greyhound of the sea”. Fin Whales have a very unique coloring with the right underside of their jaw, right lip, and the right side of their baleen being a yellowish-white, while the left-side is gray, making them look asymmetrical. Fun fact, fin whales and blue whales make the lowest frequency sounds of any animals. When they were first recorded by submarines, scientists thought they were tectonic plates grinding. Kind of makes you wonder about what is causing other mysterious ocean sounds! 9.) Portuguese Man of War While this is often considered a jellyfish, the Portuguese man-of-war is actually not an “it” but a “they”! It is made up of a colony of organisms called polyps that work together known as a siphonophore. While the tentacles can extend 165 feet (50 m), the average is about 30 feet (9 m) long. Still nothing to scoff at!! Also known as “the floating terror”, their body is between 5 inches to a foot wide (13 cm- 130 cm). They are usually found in groups of about a thousand or more, and have no independent means of movement. They either drift on the currents or catch the wind, so even though you should be super careful of jellyfish, they aren’t ever out to get you on purpose! The tentacles on a man-of-war are extremely venomous and very painful if you get stung but they are rarely deadly. The venom is typically used to paralyze their prey, such as small fish and other smaller creatures. Also keep in mind that a man-of-war does not need to be alive in order to give off a powerful sting, even if it has washed up on shore and looks dead, it can still sting you! The Portuguese man-of-war floats around the Atlantic Ocean, as well as the Indian and Pacific. So keep an eye out if you are swimming around these areas! 8.) Giant Clam The giant clam is the largest living bivalve mollusk on earth. (Bivalve mollusks include clams, oysters, and mussels). Native to the warm waters of Australia's Great Barrier Reef, giant clams are capable of growing an average of 4 feet (1 m) in length and weighing close to 500 pounds (250 kg)! However, some species of clams have been known to grow as long as 6 feet. The large majority of a giant clam’s mass is in its shell, with the soft parts accounting for only approximately 10% of the weight. Giant clams are now endangered because they apparently are also quite delicious and have been hunted for centuries for its healthy protein. The giant clam has one chance to find its perfect home because once it chooses its spot, it stays there for the rest of its life. They can live up to 100 years or more, as long as they are in the wild. Most of the giant clams you see today have been raised in captivity and are really popular in large aquariums. Giant clams achieve their enormous proportions by consuming the sugars and proteins produced by the billions of algae that live in their tissues. This symbiotic relationship protects the algae and they are responsible for the unique coloration. No two giant clams are alike! 7.) Great White Shark According to National Geographic, great white sharks are the largest predatory fish in the world. They grow to an average of 15 feet (4.6 m) in length. However, there have been some who have grown to 20 feet (6 m) in length! In fact, the largest Great White Shark ever recorded in the wild was estimated to be 26 feet long, which is more than half the length of a basketball court. Combine this with a bunch of teeth, and this is why people get so scared. They are known to weigh up to 5,000 pounds (2268 kg). The heaviest Great White Shark ever recorded in the wild was estimated to weigh in at a whopping 7,328 pounds. . 12 Most EPIC Deep Sea Creatures On Earth!

10:48
These are the most unusual and scary fish and deep water animals in the world! #9. “Giant Clam”--The Giant Clam doesn’t dwell too deep in the sea as it prefers warmer waters, like those found in Australia’s Great Barrier Reef but it is one of the most epic creatures on the planet. As the biggest mollusk ever discovered, Giant Clams have been found weighing over 500 pounds and over 4 feet wide. In order to keep their gargantuan bodies nourished they use their forceful siphon to slurp up unsuspecting plankton. They supplement their diet with proteins and glucose excreted by the algae that live on and inside them. This diet must be working to great effect as giant clams can live to be well over one-hundred years old. Though they are generally harmless to humans there are many cultures that have legends involving giant clams that are big enough to suck people into their siphons. #8. “Barreleye”-- Unique to say the least, the Barreleye Fish that roam the eastern Pacific ocean at depths upwards of 3,000 feet look like an alien submarine that was made out of a fish. Though it sports bioluminescent organs throughout its entire body (which averages half a foot in length) it’s the Barreleye’s transparent head that makes it a bizarre spectacle. This fascinating product of deep-sea evolution, needs its head to be transparent as it has no eyeholes. Its upward facing eyes are located completely inside the animals body but are able to see using bioluminescence to light up the ocean outside the clear dome. The Barreleye has two large nostrils above its mouth that are often mistaken for eyes and when seen as such make it look like a depressed dolphin. Barreleyes feed mainly on jellyfish and other small creatures that it sneaks up on from underneath. #7. “Goblin Shark”-- The goblin shark is truly the stuff of nightmares as it looks as though a swordfish and shark had an ugly baby, with a long snout above a gnarly tooth-filled mouth. These sharks are another odd species that are believed to have lived deep in the ocean since prehistoria. These rare sharks are mainly found off of Japan’s western coast and can grow up to almost 500 pounds with an average length of around 10 feet. Goblin sharks owe their name to the big-nosed goblins of Japanese folktales which they bear an uncanny resemblance to. Their diet consists mainly of squid which they snatch with their jaws that can extend over 3 inches from their bodies, only adding to the shark’s ugly terror-inducing visage.
