RECOMMEND USING UPDATED "APA Format in Word - in 4 Minutes V2" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qZVIa2sTbpM Format basic APA documents in Word in 4 minutes. Really. This is a visual approach to writing APA in Word. At the end you'll find the steps used, which you can copy or screen print. Created for my college students, but shared in the hope that it helps others. If you have an earlier version of Word, just look for the same keywords, such as "different first page". Other how-to APA topics, such as citations and references, will appear in subsequent videos.

How to cite an article in a newspaper in APA format

01:23
Visit http://www.termpapergurus.com to hire professionals to do your work! Video Transcription: Hello and welcome to the video reference series presented by termpapergurus.com. In this lecture, we will discuss how to cite an article presented in a newspaper in APA style. As usual, the citation starts with the last name of the author first, and is then followed by the initial of the first name and then the initial of the middle name. The year that the article was published in is enclosed in brackets included by the month and day if they are available. This is followed by the name of the article you have included. Then, you include the italicized title of the newspaper. Finally, you put in the page numbers which AREN'T italicized! Here is an example of this citation. Notice how the page number is not a single number but a range. This is where the article starts and ends. You can see how the magazine title and volume number is italicized. This is it for today. As always a copy of the citation is included in the description and you can copy off from it if its urgent. Take care! And, thank you for visiting our videos! Sample citation from the video: Last name, First initial. Middle initial. (Year, Month Day). Article title. Newspaper Title, pages. Schwartz, J. (1993, September 30). Obesity affects economic, social status. The Washington Post, pp. A1, A4.

05:22
Guidelines for APA should also be applied to PowerPoint presentations when required. Any use of outside source material must be documented on the PowerPoint slide using APA citation formats from the 6th edition. Because PowerPoint slides are mainly a visual medium, the presenter must know how APA documents elements such as images, tables, graphs, and other media with titles, notes, and APA parenthetical citations. APA style and citation formats still apply to PowerPoint slides although the citations are being using in a different medium.
