TO GET THIS PROJECT THROUGH ONLINE OR TRAINING SESSION CONTACT: LansA Informatics Pvt Ltd No 165, 5th Street, Crosscut road, Gandhipuram, Coimbatore - 641 012 Landline: 0422 - 4204373 Mobile: +91 90 953 953 33 Email :[email protected] Website: www.lansainformatics.com Blog: www.lansastudentscdc.blogspot.com ABSTRACT: Numerous consumer reviews of products are now available on the Internet. Consumer reviews contain rich and valuable knowledge for both firms and users. However, the reviews are often disorganized, leading to difficulties in information navigation and knowledge acquisition. This article proposes a product aspect ranking framework, which automatically identifies the important aspects of products from online consumer reviews, aiming at improving the usability of the numerous reviews. The important product aspects are identified based on two observations: (a) the important aspects are usually commented by a large number of consumers; and (b) consumer opinions on the important aspects greatly influence their overall opinions on the product. In particular, given the consumer reviews of a product, we first identify product aspects by a shallow dependency parser and determine consumer opinions on these aspects via a sentiment classifier. We then develop a probabilistic aspect ranking algorithm to infer the importance of aspects by simultaneously considering aspect frequency and the influence of consumer opinions given to each aspect over their overall opinions. The experimental results on a review corpus of 21 popular products in eight domains demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach. Moreover, we apply product aspect ranking to two real-world applications, i.e., document-level sentiment classification and extractive review summarization, and achieve significant performance improvements, which demonstrate the capacity of product aspect ranking in facilitating real-world applications.

openCPQ – A React-Based Product-Configuration Toolkit

30:24
The talk presents the new open-source project openCPQ for the web-based configuration of complex products. In contrast to popular commercial configuration tools openCPQ * uses the browser not only for the UI but also for the business logic, which makes configurators extremely fast by avoiding round trips to the server, * supports modelling of configuration rules embedded in JavaScript, which permits user-defined abstractions in a flexible way, and * recomputes the configuration result from scratch instead of incrementally propagating changes in the user input, which fits nicely with React’s architecture and makes openCPQ a light-weight framework. Tim Geisler and Heribert Schütz, co-founders of webXcerpt Software GmbH, have worked on all aspects of product configuration for many years. Based on this experience they had the idea that the capabilities of today’s browsers allow to simplify the architecture of product configurators. Product Aspect Ranking and Its Applications

01:16
Huge collections of consumer reviews are now available on the Web expressing various opinions on multiple aspects of products. Among these aspects some are more important than others and have greater influence on consumers' decisions. This method uses aspect ranking to automatically identify important product aspects or features from online consumer reviews. Aspect ranking can be used in document-level sentiment classification and extractive review summarization achieving significant performance improvement on these applications.

Product Management Approaches: Top Down, Bottom Up or Both?

41:55
As a product manager you have a lot to consider when you’re planning and working on the vision, objectives, roadmap and backlog for your product, including where the input for all these aspects of your product comes from. You can either focus on a “top down” approach based on directives from senior leaders, or take a “bottom up” approach which starts with your ideas and works up. But which is the right approach to take? Finding which one works for you is really important to success.

Who is a Product Manager and What do they do? [Career Insights]

07:54
The role of a product manager is crucial but also one of the least understood ones. What does a product manager really do? Is he more of a data analyst? Or someone who deals with the tech aspects of product, leading the team of engineers? Or does the product manager largely concern himself/herself with user experience, design or the overall business strategy? Mind-boggling isn't it? No wonder the role is difficult to understand for most. In this video, Ravijot Chugh, Co-Founder and Product Head at UpGrad, explains in detail the various responsibilities a Product Manager has, and that you need to execute to the best of your ability to be a good PM. If you want to bag one among the thousands of highly coveted openings for Product Managers between now and 2020 (only to grow exponentially even after), you need to start upgrading your existing skills and mastering these key skills. Product Managers are often referred to as mini-CEOs of the product. This is why, at tech companies, startups and large MNCs that are now diversifying, alike, the role of Product Managers is lucrative and one of the most important in the organization. #E23 Most important aspects of Digital Product execution effort estimates

08:51
Regardless of how would you execute delivery of your digital product, inhouse or by contracting, the value of estimating delivery efforts is essential to the two most influential parameters to your business - time and money. Additionally, estimated cloud hosting costs for dev, UAT and production environments are good to have, as well as minimum expected support engagement if the product requires such an effort. I keep stating that planning is everything. Project management methodology, as agile and as lean as it gets, should not influence the fact that there must be solid metrics against execution of a digital product. Even when contracting a team on TnM basis, expectations should be set for at least the next delivery iteration. Subscribe, share this, pass it on, let me know what you think. What is PRODUCT DIFFERENTIATION? What does PRODUCT DIFFERENTIATION mean?

05:05
What is PRODUCT DIFFERENTIATION? What does PRODUCT DIFFERENTIATION mean? PRODUCT DIFFERENTIATION meaning - PRODUCT DIFFERENTIATION definition - PRODUCT DIFFERENTIATION explanation. Source: Wikipedia.org article, adapted under https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/ license. SUBSCRIBE to our Google Earth flights channel - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC6UuCPh7GrXznZi0Hz2YQnQ In economics and marketing, product differentiation (or simply differentiation) is the process of distinguishing a product or service from others, to make it more attractive to a particular target market. This involves differentiating it from competitors' products as well as a firm's own products. The concept was proposed by Edward Chamberlin in his 1933 The Theory of Monopolistic Competition. Firms have different resource endowments that enable them to construct specific competitive advantages over competitors. Resource endowments allow firms to be different which reduces competition and makes it possible to reach new segments of the market. Thus, differentiation is the process of distinguishing the differences of a product or offering from others, to make it more attractive to a particular target market. Although research in a niche market may result in changing a product in order to improve differentiation, the changes themselves are not differentiation. Marketing or product differentiation is the process of describing the differences between products or services, or the resulting list of differences. This is done in order to demonstrate the unique aspects of a firm's product and create a sense of value. Marketing textbooks are firm on the point that any differentiation must be valued by buyers (a differentiation attempt that is not perceived does not count). The term unique selling proposition refers to advertising to communicate a product's differentiation. In economics, successful product differentiation leads to competitive advantage and is inconsistent with the conditions for perfect competition, which include the requirement that the products of competing firms should be perfect substitutes. There are three types of product differentiation: 1. Simple: based on a variety of characteristics. 2. Horizontal: based on a single characteristic but consumers are not clear on quality. 3. Vertical: based on a single characteristic and consumers are clear on its quality. The brand differences are usually minor; they can be merely a difference in packaging or an advertising theme. The physical product need not change, but it may. Differentiation is due to buyers perceiving a difference; hence, causes of differentiation may be functional aspects of the product or service, how it is distributed and marketed, or who buys it. The major sources of product differentiation are as follows. Differences in quality which are usually accompanied by differences in price. Differences in functional features or design. Ignorance of buyers regarding the essential characteristics and qualities of goods they are purchasing. Sales promotion activities of sellers and, in particular, advertising. Differences in availability (e.g. timing and location). The objective of differentiation is to develop a position that potential customers see as unique. The term is used frequently when dealing with freemium business models, in which businesses market a free and paid version of a given product. Given they target the same group of customers, it is imperative that free and paid versions be effectively differentiated. Differentiation primarily affects performance through reducing directness of competition: As the product becomes more different, categorization becomes more difficult and hence draws fewer comparisons with its competition. A successful product differentiation strategy will move your product from competing based primarily on price to competing on non-price factors (such as product characteristics, distribution strategy, or promotional variables). Most people would say that the implication of differentiation is the possibility of charging a price premium; however, this is a gross simplification. If customers value the firm's offer, they will be less sensitive to aspects of competing offers; price may not be one of these aspects. Differentiation makes customers in a given segment have a lower sensitivity to other features (non-price) of the product.

What is PRODUCT DESIGN? What does PRODUCT DESIGN mean? PRODUCT DESIGN meaning & explanation

02:39
What is PRODUCT DESIGN? What does PRODUCT DESIGN mean? PRODUCT DESIGN meaning - PRODUCT DESIGN definition - PRODUCT DESIGN explanation. Source: Wikipedia.org article, adapted under https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/ license. Product design as a verb is to create a new product to be sold by a business to its customers. A very broad concept, it is essentially the efficient and effective generation and development of ideas through a process that leads to new products. Due to the absence of a consensually accepted definition that reflects the breadth of the topic sufficiently, two discrete, yet interdependent, definitions are needed: one that explicitly defines product design in reference to the artifact, the other that defines the product design process in relation to this artifact. Product design as a noun: the set of properties of an artifact, consisting of the discrete properties of the form (i.e., the aesthetics of the tangible good and/or service) and the function (i.e., its capabilities) together with the holistic properties of the integrated form and function. Product design process: the set of strategic and tactical activities, from idea generation to commercialization, used to create a product design. In a systematic approach, product designers conceptualize and evaluate ideas, turning them into tangible inventions and products. The product designer's role is to combine art, science, and technology to create new products that people can use. Their evolving role has been facilitated by digital tools that now allow designers to communicate, visualize, analyze and actually produce tangible ideas in a way that would have taken greater manpower in the past. Product design is sometimes confused with (and certainly overlaps with) industrial design, and has recently become a broad term inclusive of service, software, and physical product design. Industrial design is concerned with bringing artistic form and usability, usually associated with craft design and ergonomics, together in order to mass-produce goods. Other aspects of product design include engineering design, particularly when matters of functionality or utility (e.g. problem-solving) are at issue, though such boundaries are not always clear.
