18 Most Haunting Images From Under the Sea

11:34
You won't believe what is actually captured in photos deep underwater from yoga with a stingray to mysterious abandoned boats 9. Deadly Blue Hole This enormous hole on the ocean floor in known as ‘Dean’s Blue Hole’ and is the world’s deepest known saltwater blue hole that has an entrance below sea level. It is 202 meters deep and is located in a bay just west of Clarence Town on Long Island in the Bahamas. It certainly gives me goosebumps just looking at it, and I wouldn’t want to fall into it. 8. Scary Giant Squid One of the most daunting and intimidating sea creatures of them all is the giant squid, which can grow to a massive size because of deep-sea gigantism. According to recent estimates, the giant squid females can grow to lengths of 43 feet, or 13 meters, and the males grow up to 33 feet, or 10 meters, from the tip of the tentacles to the posterior fins. That is as large as an average yacht! Can you say deep sea nightmare? 7. Yoga with a Giant Stingray While it may look like the stingray is smiling, and that the swimmer is doing calming yoga, the beauty of this picture is how dangerous what the swimmer is doing actually is. Contact with a stingray’s stinger could mean death for this swimmer. The large fish, and the contrast of how small the human is in comparison, makes this one of the most breathtaking underwater interaction pictures. Also, it is pretty impressive how the swimmer is holding that beautiful pose with the giant stingray just feet away. 6. Creepy Wall of Seaweed No, this is not an optical illusion. That’s right, what you are seeing in this picture is tons of giant seaweed in the rolling waves. Yes, seaweed, like what sushi is wrapped in. But this form of seaweed is far less edible and far more sinister. People die every year from getting caught in its sliminess, causing them to drown as a result. Typically, seaweed isn’t considered as dangerous as a shark, but have you ever had that feeling of something under the water brushing up against you that makes you want to jump out of your skin? That is exactly what you get with this seaweed. 5. Abandoned Submarine The ocean floor doesn’t just have creepy animals, but also some creepy leftovers from humans. There is something so creepy about swimming around the remains of an old ship, or in this case, a giant abandoned submarine. Around the submarine, you will find giant jellyfish and big fish, but that is not the biggest concern for divers. Getting caught in the massive boat’s propeller would spell out certain death. It would probably be best to stick to coral reefs and sharks. 4. The Shadowing Shark What could be more pleasant than a day out on your kayak paddling through crystal clear turquoise waters? Well, this unassuming fella clearly thought the same thing. But what he doesn’t know is that there is danger lurking just feet from him, which could have resulted in a lethal attack. This situation is exactly how many people who are killed by sharks happen to die – when they are least expecting it. We would be high-tailing it out of there as fast as we could paddle. 3. Creepy Ocean Bug So the Goblin Shark and the Wolffish may be terribly ugly looking things, even by sea creature standards, but this gigantic sea bug really takes the cake. It has officially been called a giant isopod, and it certainly is a giant. While this creepy creature may not be as delicious as a sea bream or red snapper, this fisherman looks quite happy with himself for catching the big crustacean. 2. Shark Face Just this picture alone is enough to make anyone question going for a swim in the ocean. Of course, the first thing that comes to mind is the dramatic and intense cello music and the unsuspecting swimmer being dragged to the depths of the ocean to become dinner for one of these sharp-toothed creatures. The scariest part is just how calm the top of the water looks, making it even more real that this shark could be swimming near you and you wouldn’t even know it. Brave the open ocean… if you dare! 1. Creepy Bubble Formation Water is an interesting substance, allowing for creepy displays when air comes into contact with it. Imagine scuba diving along the ocean bed only to look up and see what appears to be a bubble man. It would give any of us the heebie-jeebies, especially knowing what other creatures share the water.

How a massive Earthquake look under the sea!

00:44
Amazing video showing what happens at the sea bed during a massive earthquake. The video was recorded by diver Jan Paul Rodriguez and shows a calm seabed in the beginning, but as a 5.9 magnitude earthquake strikes, we can see the sea floor moving and the water turning cloudy because of the sand that rose up because of the quake.

Check out the accompanying blog post for more information! We try and keep life simple while being as safe as possible, and therefore have whittled down the list of possible items down to what we feel is essential to our survival if we're ever in a situation at sea where we have to abandon our yacht. The liferaft also has a survival kit inside which contains a number of items such as 24 hours of mirror, whistle, water rations, sea sickness tablets, fishing line, flares, space blankets, torch, knife and a signalling cheat sheet for all of our signalling needs. The grab bag is to be taken into the liferaft in addition to the survival kit already packed inside. Thanks so much for watching! Please subscribe, leave a comment and give a thumbs up. Mysterious Sea Creatures Spotted On Google Earth!

Check out these mysterious sea creatures spotted on google earth! From giant creatures to gigantic unidentified deep sea animals, these strange and bizarre creatures caught on camera are absolutely mysterious! Oke Bay Creature An engineer by the name of Pita Witehira was the first person to discover a weird looking sight in the water in Oke Bay, New Zealand. Pita was researching the area when he noticed an unexplained wake that could have only been left by something huge. In fact, Pita believed that the creature that left the wake had to have been at around 40 feet long (12 m). Because of the length and width of the wake, Pita new it could not have been a shark or whale. He further states that the creature was moving too quickly and sharply in order to be a whale. Pita contacted Google, and Google told him that it could have been some type of boat. But Pita did not agree with Google. He said that there was not white foam from the boat motor. Pita then suggested that it could be a Taniwha, which is a creature from Maori mythology. A Taniwha is a creature that lives in deep pools in rivers, dark caves, or in the sea, especially in places with dangerous currents or deceptive breakers. They often live in areas with large waves and look like whales or large sharks. However, there are some that think the Oke Bay Creature is a hoax. They say if you zoom in enough in the Google image you can see a boat. It’s up for you to decide for yourself! 7.) Giant Centipede In waters close to Scotland, Google Earth captured what appeared to look like a giant centipede. The image was shot from a space satellite. If you look closely into the waters, you can see what looks like a long light-colored rope looking thing, with tiny little fibers coming out of However, this is not a large rope. If you compare an image of a centipede and the image of the possible giant centipede in the Scottish waters, they are very similar! According to theorists, this giant centipede is believed to be over 120 meters (390-feet), just swimming along, minding its own business as the image was being taken. Of course, the first reaction for many people was to wonder if this image was real or fake. People began to debate on what the giant centipede really could be, if you ruled it out. Some viewers stated that it was just a hoax while others wondered if it was a shadow from something else. There were also users that questioned if it was some type of technical glitch in the Google Earth system. Or was it Loch Ness?? Or something else? 6.) Giant Crab After a photograph of a giant crab, made its way around the internet, people began speculating whether the Google earth image was real or fake. Nicknamed Crabzilla, it is believed that the crab is about 50 feet long (15.2 m). The picture was taken off the harbor at Whitstable, Kent. It was made popular by the area’s Weird Whitstable, which is a website devoted to strange things of the area. The owner of the website, Quinton stated, "At first all I could see was some faint movement, then as it rose from the water I thought, 'that’s a funny looking bit of driftwood.” He then went on to say, "It had glazed blank eyes on stalks, swiveling wildly and it clearly was a massive crab with crushing claws.” If Crabzilla is a true crab, it will knock the 12-foot Japanese Spider Crab off the world’s largest list. But with most sea monsters, there are doubters. Sea-life expert Dr. Verity Nye, who has worked on logging new species of crab, said it is impossible one of the creatures could grow so big. While Dr. Nye admits to not knowing what the area around the harbor looks like, she does claim that it is more likely someone is messing with the image. Twirl star ball (EzyCraft) - How to make a ball of starfish and star rose - EzyCraft

In this video, I have experimented with using the twirling technique on the circular shape of paper. Combined with the geometric shapes of dodecahedron and icosahedron in the concept, I have constructed the starfish and star rose balls. Do not forget to give a thumbs up, comment or share, if you like this video. To succeed in these twirling projects, always reinforce your curls as much as you can! Also ensure that the end of the curl unit is sharp, so that the construction of the sphere is tight and durable. Exploring Mysterious and Enigmatic Belize Great Blue Hole

07:05
Ramon Llaneza diving rebreather explore stargate the entrance to alien underworld in Belize and Bahamas. Watch more details about this exploration at https://youtu.be/mh49kkENw_Q . The Mysterious Belize Great Blue Hole is a large underwater hole off the coast of Belize. It lies near the center of Lighthouse Reef, a small atoll 100 kilometers (62 mi) from the mainland and Belize City. The hole is perfectly circular in shape, over 300 meters (1000 ft) across (diameter), 3140 feet circumference and 125 meters (410 ft) deep. It was formed as a limestone cave system during the last glacial period when the sea level was 400 to 500 feet below present time and was dry land. Last glacial period began about 120,000 years ago and end about 15,000 years ago. Reaching the maximum extension 26,500 years ago. At the end the ocean began to rise, the caves flooded, and the roof collapsed. Believed to be the world's largest feature of its kind, the Great Blue Hole is part of the larger Belize Barrier Reef Reserve System, a World Heritage site of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). The hole itself is the opening to a system of caves and passageway that penetrate this undersea mountain. In various places, massive limestone stalactites hang down from what was once the ceiling of air-filled caves thousand of years before the end of the last Ice Age 15,000 years ago. When the ice melted the sea level rose, flooding the caves. This process occurred in stages. Evidence for this are the shelves and ledges, carved into the limestone by the sea, which run the complete interior circumference of the Blue Hole at various depths. The Blue Hole is a "karst- eroded sinkhole." It was once a cave at the center of an underground tunnel complex whose ceiling collapsed. Some of the tunnels are thought to be linked right through to the mainland, though this has never been conclusively proved. Notable are the large population of sharks such as lemon, black tip, reef, hammerhead, and bull sharks. Mysterious and legends always have been around the Belize Blue Hole. This was the entrance to Xibalba?. It's the kind of underwater geology that inspires speculation about aliens creating geometrically perfect anomalies, mermaids and monsters living in darkness. I explored the bottom of the Blue Hole perimeter (3,140 feet circumference). To do this I dove down twice, reaching the depth of 375' feet which took 4 to 5 hours of diving each day. In the place where I am now, there is no day or night So here I am awake inside this endless dream But I think back to the way that you freely spread wings You were absolutely beautiful when you took flight And once again the rays of light are catching my eyes You turn in time to see me staring straight at you And as you start to make your way towards me I finally realize It’s me who’s hiding the truth... Little girl inside the sea, falling down into the deep, Breaks the darkness around her with the redness in her cheeks Little girl inside the sea, just wants to have her heart be seen as is But the cruel ocean won’t allow for petty things like this! And I know that all the clothes I wear are torn up and dirty The smile on my face no longer means I’m happy There is no way that I can possibly let myself be shown So please, just leave me alone! Suddenly all the feelings that I had kept inside me burst, melting down And then I tried to look for you but came to realize that you’re nowhere to be found… Little girl’s anxiety builds inside her steadily She is scared that darkness took the one she wants to meet Feeling trapped inside the sea, she cannot help but to reach out her hand “You also have splendid colors in you, do you understand?” Little girl inside the sea, slowly led up from the deep As she hears songs of blessings from the snow coloured marine Little girl inside the sea, wants to know the person she saw then Because she has found the one who makes her want to live again! And now that I’m out of the ocean, I’ll take off again…. ! _______________________________________________________ Song: Deep Sea Girl Music by Yuuyu-P Lyrics: Ham / https://www.youtube.com/user/SirHamnet Art: Dorris / http://www.pixiv.net/member.php?id=408225 Mix: Dysergy Vocals: Lizz ___________________________________________________________ PLEASE DO NOT USE MY COVERS FOR NIGHTCORE!

This zone is known as the deep ocean, and though it seems like an inhospitable and remote corner of the planet, it is actually one of the greatest habitats on Earth. Lidia Lins explores how so many species thrive in this mysterious underwater world. Lesson by Lidia Lins, animation by Viviane Leezer.

Rolex Deepsea Sea-Dweller D-Blue 116660 Luxury Watch – James Cameron Edition

08:48
http://www.crmjewelers.com/vip/ – Rolex Deepsea Sea-Dweller D-Blue 116660 Luxury Watch – James Cameron Edition The Rolex Deepsea Sea-Dweller D-Blue, also known as the Rolex Deep Blue Sea, is a special edition of the Rolex Sea-Dweller luxury watch. With a reference of 116660, the Deepsea D-Blue is also called the Rolex James Cameron Edition, named after the director of the Deep-sea thriller, “The Abyss,” back in 1989 (he also known for directing a myriad of blockbusters like The Terminator [1984], Aliens [1986], Titanic [1997] and Avatar [2009]). The Deepsea D-Blue high end watch was introduced by Rolex in 2014 to commemorate Jame Cameron's first solo human dive to the deepest point in the oceans of planet Earth, the Challenger Deep of the Mariana Trench in the Pacific Ocean (10,994 meters deep or 36,070 feet). During Cameron's Deepsea Challenge, a special “supercharged” 51-mm version of the Sea-Dweller Rolex designed was strapped to the manipulator arm of the submersible. Designed to withstand 12,000 meters of depth, the special Rolex Deepsea was able to withstand a crushing water pressure of eight tons per square inch, 1000 times greater than the atmospheric pressure at sea level! Even though the the Deepsea D-Blue edition is a new watch, it shares most of the same specifications as the regular and less expensive Rolex Seadweller 16600 mens watch with the black dial, including the extreme waterproof rating of 3,900 meters (12,800 feet) thanks to Rolex patented safety valve. The main differences between the regular Deepsea and the D-Blue can be found on the dial itself. If you look at the dial of the Rolex Deepsea D-Blue, you will notice that it fades from blue to black to symbolize the transition of color experienced during a deep sea dive. At lower depths, the ocean is void of any color whatsoever. The regular Sea-Dweller simply comes with a black dial. The word “DEEPSEA” on the dial of the new Sea-Dweller also has the same color as the submersible vehicle used by James Cameron to complete his incredible dive. The Price of the Deepseas There's quite a jump in price when you go from the regular Sea-Dweller to the Deepsea D-Blue dial edition. While a standard Deepsea Sea Dweller sells for an average of around $7,500 to $8,000 pre-owned, a preowned James Cameron Rolex is going to cost you around $11,500. That's quite a jump in price for a gradient dial and a neon name! While the colors of the D-Blue do stand out way more than the standard Deepsea, some people might not want to spend the extra money on the special edition. Wearing a Deepsea Rolex Both versions of the Deepsea are 44 millimeters in diameter. Even though this is the same case size as that of the Yacht-Master II, the case design of the Sea-Dweller models much taller, so unless you have a relatively larger wrist, you might not like the way the Deepsea sits on your arm. As far as the Watch Game goes, if you don't mind the size, the James Cameron edition of the Sea-Dweller is definitely going to turn some heads in your direction! The Rolex Deepsea D-Blue Edition as an Investment I'm not yet convinced that the D-Blue version of the Sea-Dweller will continue to enjoy a premium in price over it's black-dial cousin. Only time will tell. Will the price gap on both models shrink over time, bringing the price of the new Sea-Dweller lower? It's possible. Nevertheless, it is also possible that the D-Blue continues to appreciate proportionately over time, similarly to the Rolex Batman and the regular GMT II. It'll be interesting to see what really happens. So what do you think of the Rolex Deepsea Blue? Let me know by commenting below If you liked this video, remember to like and share it. What's inside a Lokai Bracelet?

07:50
Is there REALLY water and mud in the Lokai Bracelet?? We CUT OPEN 5 Lokai Bracelets to find out for ourselves! We were SHOCKED at the results! These were purchased directly from Lokai’s website and opened within a few weeks after arriving at our home. They were never worn or taken out of the box until this video. We did not alter them in any way and the results of our experiment were authentic. There was no "movie magic" that made the results appear what that were not. While the results are disappointing to us, It is important to note we are only commenting on the 5 we opened and not making any claims regarding whether or not Lokai actually puts water from Mount Everest or Mud from the Dead Sea in their bracelets. This video was in no way sponsored or influenced by Lokai or any other company or people. We purchased these with our own money and had no knowledge of what we may or may not find inside. Big thanks to all of the people who recommended this video, it was a great learning experience for Lincoln and I and we really enjoyed this experiment. How Earth Would Look If All The Ice Melted

02:45
We learned last year that many of the effects of climate change are irreversible. Sea levels have been rising at a greater rate year after year, and the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change estimates they could rise by another meter or more by the end of this century. As National Geographic showed us in 2013, sea levels would rise by 216 feet if all the land ice on the planet were to melt. This would dramatically reshape the continents and drown many of the world's major cities. Deep Blue Sea - Jim Is Bitten Scene (3/10) | Movieclips

Deep Blue Sea movie clips: http://j.mp/2jlZ2NR BUY THE MOVIE: http://bit.ly/2jgMx5q Don't miss the HOTTEST NEW TRAILERS: http://bit.ly/1u2y6pr CLIP DESCRIPTION: Susan (Saffron Burrows) and Jim (Stellan Skarsgard) test the brain fluid from the biggest shark with the rest of the team, but unfortunately while celebrating, Jim gets a little too close to the beast. FILM DESCRIPTION: Although mako sharks are among the fastest and deadliest predators in the ocean, they're not as smart as humans -- at least, they weren't. However, Dr. Susan McAlester (Saffron Burrows) has been using mako sharks as her test subjects for research on the regeneration of human brain tissues. McAlester has altered the DNA of several sharks, raising them close to the level of human intelligence; the sharks have also become faster and stronger in the process. While these DNA experiments have yielded fascinating results, they're also of questionable ethics and legality, earning her the distrust of several members of her crew, including shark authority Carter Blake (Thomas Jane and cook "Preacher" Dudley (LL Cool J). The financial backers of these experiments have also expressed skepticism, so when McAlester is ready to perform some major tests, financier Russell Franklin (Samuel L. Jackson) arrives for the occasion. McAlester and her team are delicately extracting brain tissue from one of the altered makos when the animal regains consciousness - and becomes very angry. The shark not only attacks the researchers but also damages the floating lab, leaving the crew aboard a literally sinking ship, with the makos eager to go a few rounds CREDITS: TM & © Warner Bros. Coral Reefs: "Coral Wonderland" circa 1950 Prelinger Archives

19:50
more at http://scitech.quickfound.net "Underwater oceanic footage of various kinds of fish and other aquatic creatures swimming in and around the coral reef. Sea slugs, octopi, coral, feathered starfish, shellfish, box fish, king snapper, butterfly cod, sea anemones, hermit crabs, sea turtles." Public domain film from the Prelinger Archives, slightly cropped to remove uneven edges, with the aspect ratio corrected, and mild video noise reduction applied. The soundtrack was also processed with volume normalization, noise reduction, clipping reduction, and/or equalization (the resulting sound, though not perfect, is far less noisy than the original). http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coral_reef Coral reefs are diverse underwater ecosystems held together by calcium carbonate structures secreted by corals. Coral reefs are built by colonies of tiny animals found in marine waters that contain few nutrients. Most coral reefs are built from stony corals, which in turn consist of polyps that cluster in groups. The polyps belong to a group of animals known as Cnidaria, which also includes sea anemones and jellyfish. Unlike sea anemones, corals secrete hard carbonate exoskeletons which support and protect the coral polyps. Reefs grow best in warm, shallow, clear, sunny and agitated waters. Often called "rainforests of the sea", coral reefs form some of the most diverse ecosystems on Earth. They occupy less than 0.1% of the world's ocean surface, about half the area of France, yet they provide a home for 25% of all marine species, including fish, mollusks, worms, crustaceans, echinoderms, sponges, tunicates and other cnidarians. Paradoxically, coral reefs flourish even though they are surrounded by ocean waters that provide few nutrients. They are most commonly found at shallow depths in tropical waters, but deep water and cold water corals also exist on smaller scales in other areas. Coral reefs deliver ecosystem services to tourism, fisheries and shoreline protection. The annual global economic value of coral reefs is estimated between US$29.8-375 billion. However, coral reefs are fragile ecosystems, partly because they are very sensitive to water temperature. They are under threat from climate change, oceanic acidification, blast fishing, cyanide fishing for aquarium fish, sunscreen use, overuse of reef resources, and harmful land-use practices, including urban and agricultural runoff and water pollution, which can harm reefs by encouraging excess algal growth... Formation Most of the coral reefs we can see today were formed after the last glacial period when melting ice caused the sea level to rise and flood the continental shelves. This means that most modern coral reefs are less than 10,000 years old. As communities established themselves on the shelves, the reefs grew upwards, pacing rising sea levels. Reefs that rose too slowly could become drowned reefs. They are covered by so much water that there was insufficient light. Coral reefs are found in the deep sea away from continental shelves, around oceanic islands and as atolls. The vast majority of these islands are volcanic in origin. The few exceptions have tectonic origins where plate movements have lifted the deep ocean floor on the surface... The approximately 20,000 year old Great Barrier Reef offers an example of how coral reefs formed on continental shelves. Sea level was then 120 m (390 ft) lower than in the 21st century. As sea level rose, the water and the corals encroached on what had been hills of the Australian coastal plain. By 13,000 years ago, sea level had risen to 60 m (200 ft) lower than at present, and many hills of the coastal plains had become continental islands. As the sea level rise continued, water topped most of the continental islands. The corals could then overgrow the hills, forming the present cays and reefs... Healthy tropical coral reefs grow horizontally from 1 to 3 cm (0.39 to 1.2 in) per year, and grow vertically anywhere from 1 to 25 cm (0.39 to 9.8 in) per year; however, they grow only at depths shallower than 150 m (490 ft) because of their need for sunlight, and cannot grow above sea level. Materials As the name implies, the bulk of coral reefs is made up of coral skeletons from mostly intact coral colonies... shell fragments and the remains of calcareous algae such as the green-segmented genus Halimeda can add to the reef's ability to withstand damage from storms and other threats. Such mixtures are visible in structures such as Eniwetok Atoll...
