On March 7, the Stiletto Mfg. Product Development Team and Schickler Tagliapietra finalized the Stiletto-X hull shape. Just a few days later, Symmetrix Composites of Bristol, R.I., started production of the hull molds. A Sleek, High Performance Catamaran There are many exciting aspects of the new Stiletto-X design. The most notable are the tasteful modern styling; sexy foils on the Xf model; and the contemporary longeron/trampoline design. A deeper look at the design’s performance and certification specifications reveals a long list of value-added features that distinguish the new Stiletto X-Series, like its predecessor, as a phenomenally high-performing, family friendly, and financially attainable sailboat. Surely, the features of the Stiletto X-Series will anchor it among the world’s leading multihulls. Stiletto X-Series Production Under Way Mold fabrication of the Stiletto-X was contracted to Symmetrix Composites Tooling. Although fabrication began just three days after completion of the exterior hull design, approval of the shape and performance characteristics was by no means hasty. Since founding Stiletto Manufacturing, Inc., 12 months ago, Company Director Jay Phillips has consulted with Stiletto owners, the original Stiletto 27 design team, and industry professionals. The knowledge gained from the months of research – combined with state-of-the-art virtual performance modeling and world-class engineering by Schickler Tagliapietra – culminated in the sleek, high-performance design. Michael Reardon, Stiletto-X product development manager, recently traveled to New England to oversee the progress of the new design taking shape. Symmetrix is recognized as one of the most technologically advanced composite tooling companies in the industry. Recent projects include the celebrity ocean racer Comanche, as well as previous America's Cup Class designs and aerospace projects. High Performance Catamarans

2020 Ford Mustang High Performance Package – Delivers 330-Horsepower

02:04
Strengthening Ford’s performance reach for 2020 and just in time for the pony car’s 55th anniversary, the new 2.3L High Performance Package for the entry-level Mustang EcoBoost® creates the most powerful four-cylinder sports car offered by an American automaker. This is the result of a unique EcoBoost engine powered by Ford Performance and upgraded handling components from the Mustang GT Performance Package. “The Ford Performance Focus RS 2.3-liter engine is a high-revving marvel, and anyone who’s driven this EcoBoost engine instantly loves how quickly it responds and delivers power,” said Carl Widmann, Mustang chief engineer. “When our team got the chance to try this specially built engine in a Mustang, we immediately agreed, ‘We have to do this.’” Reminiscent of development of the original Mustang in 1964, the car began as a five-person skunkworks project in the Ford Performance garage. Following an experiment with a Focus RS engine swap, the Mustang team leveraged Ford’s quickening product development times to accelerate and complete the design-to-approval process for the 2.3L High Performance Package in under 10 months. Available on the entry-level Mustang EcoBoost fastback coupe or convertible models this fall, the Mustang EcoBoost package was developed to feel at home both on thrilling mountain and coastal roads and even on the most precise autocross courses thanks to its Mustang GT brakes, performance tires, and chassis and aerodynamics hardware from the Mustang GT Performance Package. 2020 Ford Mustang EcoBoost High Performance Package

Most powerful EcoBoost engine yet in a Mustang To make their project a reality, members of the Mustang team traveled to Valencia, Spain, home of the Ford Performance-tuned 2.3-liter engine, to convince plant management to build a new variant of the turbocharged four-cylinder specifically for Mustang. Then, with the Ford Performance-designed engine as a starting point, they tuned the EcoBoost to more broadly and responsively deliver a projected 330 horsepower and 350 lb.-ft. of torque achieved with premium fuel (per the SAE J1349 standard). Having secured production of the die-cast alloy block and high-performance cylinder head, the engineering team specified a 5 percent larger 63-millimeter twin-scroll turbo compressor and a larger radiator, then calibrated the engine to run both Ford’s 10-speed SelectShift® automatic and 6-speed Getrag manual transmission. The 2020 Mustang 2.3L High Performance Package is designed to run 0-60 in the mid-four-second range on premium fuel, with top speed increasing to 155 mph, a 10 mph gain over the 2019 EcoBoost Performance Package and 34 mph faster than the base EcoBoost Mustang. “It’s not just the horsepower gains over the standard 2.3-liter EcoBoost, it’s the broader torque curve that delivers 90 percent of peak torque between 2,500 and 5,300 rpm, which is 40 percent wider than the base EcoBoost engine,” said Widmann. “Plus, horsepower holds stronger up to the 6,500-rpm redline – enabling more usable power and torque for enthusiasts and weekend autocrossers to enjoy.” Helping to deliver 143 horsepower per liter, the new 2.3L High Performance Package includes a fully active quad-tip exhaust system with a signature tuned sound. Packed with enthusiast hardware The new 2020 2.3L High Performance Package feels sharp and nimble, with an aggressive road-holding stance, near-balanced 53/47 weight distribution and fully independent suspension, plus chassis and aerodynamic upgrades from the Mustang GT and its Performance Package. For greater steering precision, the team added an alloy strut tower brace to stiffen the chassis at the front. To improve stopping power and fade resistance, the 2.3L High Performance Package adds larger four-piston fixed calipers with 13.9-inch front rotors from Mustang GT. It features a 32-millimeter sway bar up front and a tubular 21.7-millimeter bar at the rear. New performance calibration tuning is applied to the electronic-controlled power steering, antilock braking, stability control and five driver-selectable drive modes. For improved cornering, a 3.55:1 limited-slip rear axle is included, plus package-specific 19x9-inch machined-face aluminum wheels and 255/40R summer tires. For an aggressive look, the new EcoBoost 2.3L High Performance Package includes a large black front splitter and belly pan, plus brake cooling ramps from the Mustang GT Performance Package – add-ons that also work to reduce front-end lift and improve brake cooling. A blacked-out grille with offset Mustang tri-bar pony emblem, 2.3L High Performance Package side badges and magnetic gray side mirrors and raised blade rear spoiler add to the performance look, while a unique metallic gray stripe crosses the hood. An engine-spun aluminum instrument panel with oil pressure and turbo boost gauges, plus a serialized dash plaque highlight the interior. Get More Great Car Videos - Subscribe: https://goo.gl/BSIaFc

5 STEPS TO HIGH PERFORMANCE COACHING SKILLS

14:40
In this business coaching training video Rick will teach you the key ingredients to be a successful coach. You will learn why coaching is powerful, the seven characteristics of good coaching, the two major types of coaching, five key coaching questions to ask, and a proven five-step HIGH PERFORMANCE coaching model that you can use today to increase results. Effective leaders engage with their employees. Leadership is a high contact sport. Many CEOs and managers today don't talk to their customers or employees. The late Sam Walton of Walmart was asked why he spent one day a week in his office and the rest of the time in his stores with employees. Mr. Walton replied that he knew that was too much time in the office, but he wasn't too old to learn to be a better manager. If you aren't meeting with employees regularly, in groups or coaching them one on one, you are missing a key opportunity to influence them to be more successful. The biggest obstacle managers face in business coaching is time! It's a concern but it's a matter of priority and what's important to a leader. Everyone is busy and has many things to do. People are the most important resource of any business. The real question is why wouldn't a manager want to invest time in people? The sad reality is that too leaders get caught up in their inflated self-importance to want to mingle or interact with employees. So, they don't coach. It's inexcusable. This coaching skills video will review formal coaching in a one-on-one meeting. It is an effective way for managers to communicate with and motivate employees on a regular basis. A one on one should be done privately, and can take as little as fifteen to as much as sixty minutes, depending on employee needs or situation. Coaching one-on-one meetings are beneficial to the employee, manager and company if done well. Coaching promotes effective communication, recognition, goalsetting, training, employee engagement, performance management, and problem-solving. You can expect positive results from an investment in the leadership skill of coaching if you do it consistently. Research says good coaching can enhance results by 88% improvement. A manager is responsible for the following during coaching: be available, make it a priority, be prepared, limit interruptions, and make it a developmental positive experience. Building predictable and high performance workflows for mobile app development

40:19
Key takeaways, 1. Understand how architecture and workflows affect team throughputs in terms of timeline and quality. 2. Understand how key decisions in design and tooling affect various components during development, testing and maintenance. 3. Create workflows that helps remove uncertainty and promote desirable qualitative and quantitative attributes during development. Target audience, Intermediate and advanced app developers, team leads, engineering managers and architects. Software development itself is a practice that is filled with entropy. Even though there are factors in software development that are beyond our control, there are quite a few parameters that can be controlled and tuned. One of the ways to maximise predictability in software projects is to reduce the number of unknowns. Most teams start with an architecture that sets expectations to a degree. How can we push this even further? What if we can build a degree of predictability on how software is built by individuals? What if we could extrapolate the same ideas to a team and across several teams? This talk focuses on how various architectures (imperative and functional) influence individual and team throughput during development and maintenance. We’ll acknowledge how software development is a very creative profession but can also withdraw inspiring ideas from efficient systems like turn-key businesses and production lines that can help build software faster and better. We’ll focus on how the choice of architecture and tooling affect various phases of development. Once we gain an understanding of the architecture, we’ll create and tune a workflow by sequencing activities, establishing processes and building custom tooling around it. Ragunath Jawahar is a Lead Product Engineer, working at Obvious (formerly Uncommon), a prominent design studio that has worked with several unicorn startups in India. He specialises in mobile app architectures, workflow optimization and test-driven development. He has a knack for building awesome teams and believes in “you are only as good as the team you build”. 700HP Brabham BT62

01:03
Priced at £1 million before taxes and options, the BT62 is the first car from Brabham Automotive, which is run by former Formula 1 racer and Le Mans 24 Hours winner David Brabham, the son of triple world champion Sir Jack. The company claims it has a long-term phased product development plan and will manufacture "high-performance vehicles which challenge and reward the driver in equal measures", with an "ultimate goal" to compete in Le Mans 24 Hours. The limited-run BT62 is a track-only, rear-wheel-drive two-seater powered by a 5.4-litre naturally aspirated mid-mounted V8 quad-cam engine that produces 492lb ft of torque. The car features carbonfibre body panels and weighs 972kg, giving a power-to-weight ratio of 720bhp per tonne. Brabham Automotive says the BT62 has been "specifically designed, developed and tested to reward like no other". The car’s name comes from the convention established by Sir Jack Brabham’s team – officially known as Motor Racing Developments, which won four F1 drivers’ and two makes’ championships during its 30-year history. David Brabham said the BT62 started "the next chapter in the evolving Brabham story" and that it is "a car truly worthy of carrying the iconic Brabham name". The BT62 is 4460mm long and 1950mm wide, with a wheelbase of 2695mm. It features substantial aerodynamics including an adjustable rear wing, which the firm claims produces more than 1200kg of downforce, and has a 41/59 front-to-rear weight distribution. The power is delivered through a six-speed Holinger sequential gearbox, with steering wheel-mounted paddles. The car has 18in wheels front and rear, with Michelin competition tyres and six-piston carbon-on-carbon Brembo brakes. In keeping with its motorsport heritage, the BT62 features a six-point racing harness, removable carbonfibre steering wheel, a 125-litre fuel tank with quick-fill connectors and a built-in air jack system. The car will be sold in left-hand drive as standard, with right-hand drive available "on request". Owners will become members of a Brabham driver development programme designed to develop their “physical ability and determination” to the point where they can "fully exploit" the BT62’s performance. 2019 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 - Performance and Technology

04:39
2019 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 - Drive and Exterior. Subscribe. The new Corvette ZR1 convertible is a supercar in all respects, said Mark Reuss, executive vice president, Global Product Development, Purchasing and Supply Chain. Few others can challenge the ZR1 convertible’s power and speed while offering the exhilaration of top-down motoring. The performance and technology introduced on the Corvette ZR1 coupe carry over to the new ZR1 convertible. The strength of the Corvette’s aluminum chassis means the only structural changes in the convertible are accommodations for the folding top and repositioned seat belt mounts. The power top can be operated remotely or while driving up to 50 kph. In fact, the curb weight difference between the ZR1 coupe and convertible is less than 27 kg, with most of the difference attributed to the folding top hardware. The ZR1 convertible is a no-compromise supercar, said Corvette Executive Chief Engineer Tadge Juechter. Thanks to the strong structure, the suspension tuning between coupe and convertible models is identical, meaning the ZR1 convertible offers the same benchmark performance, including a top speed of over 320 kph. The Corvette ZR1’s unique aero package is central to the coupe’s 341 kph top speed. Its standard, stanchion-mounted Low Wing generates road-holding downforce with minimal drag, enabling the benchmark top speed. This was evident during top-speed testing at Germany’s Papenburg proving ground. An adjustable High Wing is part of the new ZTK Performance Package, which also includes a front splitter with carbon-fiber end caps, Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires, and specific chassis and Magnetic Ride Control tuning. It is designed to help generate faster lap times through maximum grip in the corners, with up to 430 kilograms of downforce. The top speed is lower with the High Wing but still exceeds 320 kph. Complementing the ZR1’s aero advantage on the way to 341 kph is the thrust generated by the exclusive LT5 6.2L supercharged engine, which is rated at an SAE-certified 755 horsepower (563 kW) and 715 lb.-ft. of torque (969 Nm). A seven-speed manual transmission and a ZR1-first paddle-shift eight-speed automatic transmission are offered with it. Preliminary testing has shown 0-60 mph in under 3.0 seconds and the quarter mile in the high 10-second range when the engine is equipped with the eight-speed automatic. The LT5 features a new, more-efficient, intercooled supercharger system, along with GM’s first dual-fuel-injection system, which employs primary direct injection and supplemental port injection. Compared to the supercharger system on the Corvette Z06’s LT4 engine, the LT5 employs a larger, 2.65-liter supercharger that generates more boost while spinning at a slightly slower speed. That reduces heat to help maintain a lower air intake temperature for optimal performance. Four new radiators also help manage cooling in the ZR1, which features 13 radiators in all, including circuits for engine oil, transmission and differential cooling. A new, patent-pending exhaust system is the voice of the supercharged LT5 engine and offers the most aggressive sound ever for a production Corvette. Building on the bi-modal exhaust system offered on other Corvette models, it features four distinct modes and sound levels: Stealth, Tour, Sport and Track. In Stealth mode, the ZR1 is quieter than the Corvette Z06, while in Track mode it is significantly louder. In Track mode, a spring-loaded passive valve closes to allow virtually unrestricted exhaust flow for maximum performance. The exhaust note for all modes was carefully tuned to deliver a distinctive sound.

😅2020 Ford Mustang 330 HP "High Performance Package"

03:25
To make their project a reality, members of the Mustang team traveled to Valencia, Spain, home of the Ford Performance-tuned 2.3-liter engine, to convince plant management to build a new variant of the turbocharged four-cylinder specifically for Mustang. The new 2020 2.3L High Performance Package feels sharp and nimble, with an aggressive road-holding stance, near-balanced 53/47 weight distribution and fully independent suspension, plus chassis and aerodynamic upgrades from the Mustang GT and its Performance Package. New Mustang colors for 2020 include Grabber Lime, Iconic Silver, Red Hot Metallic Tinted Clearcoat and Twister Orange. New 17-inch sparkle silver-painted aluminum wheels now come standard on the base 2020 Mustang EcoBoost.

Rob Davis, VP Storage Technology, Mellanox and Illker Cebeli, Sr. Director of Product Planning, Samsung, share in this breakout session at Red Hat Summit 2017. There is a new very high performance SSD interfaced called NVMe over Fabrics now available to expand the capabilities of Red Hat networked storage solutions. It is an extension of the local NVMe SSD interface developed a few years ago driven by the need for a faster storage interface to SSDs. This was needed to allow applications to take advantage of the much higher performance of solid state vs. hard drives. NVMe over Fabrics, utilizes ultra-low latency RDMA technology to achieve data sharing across a network without sacrificing the local performance characteristics of NVMe SSDs. This session will explain the technology, what its capabilities are, where it is today, where it is going tomorrow and how to interface it into Red Hat solutions. https://www.redhat.com/en/summit/2017/agenda/sessions

The 4 Pillars of High Performing Companies

06:33
High-performing companies are remarkably simple at their core. Their hiring, product development, operations, marketing, sales and all other areas are informed by a clear strategy. This strategy and each initiative and tactic pursued because of it are built on four pillars. These pillars are common to high-performing companies, allowing for clear and fast decision making, alignment on goals and direction and enabling execution at rates faster than they could had they not established such a strong foundation. In this video, we’ll share what these four essential pillars are. -- At Storyforge, we believe that great companies don't just tell a story, but live their story at every touch point, and in every aspect of their organization. Informed by their purpose, core beliefs, competencies and a deep understanding of the needs of all stakeholders, great stories connect, inspire, motivate, convert and create loyalty. -- ► Subscribe to the Storyforge YouTube Channel Here: http://www.youtube.com/channel/UCEyjEIr0Kq-Jnondoez37_g/?sub_confirmation=1 ---- Barry Chandler, co-founder and principal at Storyforge, specializes in business building, strategy and storytelling.
