English File Pre-Intermediate THE STYLE INTERVIEW LINDKA CIERACH is a fashion designer. She makes very exclusive clothes for women. She has made clothes for many celebrities including members of the British royal family, for example Kate Middleton and Sarah Ferguson, whose wedding dress she designed, and actresses like Helen Mirren. - Did you always want to be a designer? - Not at all! When I was at school I had problems reading, and later I was diagnosed as dyslexic. The only things I enjoyed there were art and sewing. After school I did a secretarial course and then I got a job at Vogue magazine. I loved it, and there I realized that what I wanted to do was design clothes. - Why do you think people like your clothes? - Being a female designer has many advantages. I really understand how women want to feel. My customers leave the studio feeling a million dollars! - What nationality do you think has the best fashion sense? - Probably the Italians. They are so chic, and their sense of colour is so natural to them. - Have you ever been to a fancy dress party? - I hate fancy dress parties. But I can remember one, when I was ten. - What did you go as? - My mother made me and my younger sister dress as a bride and bridegroom. I was the bridegroom! I absolutely hated dressing as a man. - Have you ever met someone who was wearing exactly the same as you? - Never, thank goodness! I'm lucky because I can choose from a large selection of our Collection each season! - Have you ever fallen over because you were wearing very high heels? - I've never fallen over, but once I had to take off my shoes in the middle of a reception at the House of Lords! My feet were killing me! - What did you do? - I walked out into the street in bare feet and jumped into a taxi! - Have you ever designed clothes for a man? - Yes, I have. - When was it? - It was when I was studying at the London College of Fashion. I designed my first Men's Wear collection - shirts, trousers, and leather jackets. My boyfriend at that time was very lucky. He didn't need to buy any clothes that year!

The fashion designers in the running to create Princess Eugenie's wedding dress
The fashion designers in the running to create Princess Eugenie's wedding dress: https://www.mirror.co.uk/3am/style/celebrity-fashion/princess-eugenies-wedding-dress-who-12220558. Thanks for watching, subscribe for more videos: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCzURZooob2rF_a_1cONbUIg?sub_confirmation=1  The royal family certainly have a busy calendar this year with two weddings to plan and look forward to.  The Duke and Duchess of York's youngest daughter Princess Eugenie announced her engagement to long-term boyfriend Jack Brooksbank in January.  The happy couple showed off the padparadscha sapphire ring and Eugenie wore a £1,288 floral embroidered cap sleeve 'Hetty' dress by British label Erdem with black satin heels from Jimmy Choo for the official portraits.  The pair will wed on October 12 at the same venue as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle - St George's Chapel at Windsor Castle.  But one of the biggest questions on our lips is which lucky fashion designer will create the royal bride-to-be's wedding dress for her big day?  Here are our predictions. Erdem  The British label is one of the most sought-after names in the world at the moment and is also hotly-tipped to be behind Meghan Markle's wedding dress . But was Eugenie giving us a clue that she'd already chosen her designer in her official engagement photos? Vivienne Westwood  The iconic British designer said at the time of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's wedding: "I would have loved to have dressed Kate Middleton but I have to wait until she kind of catches up a bit somewhere with style.'' Ouch. But she seems to have a fan in Eugenie, who actually wore a blue floral dress by Westwood for the royal wedding in 2011. Our favourite has to be the rather y red off-the-shoulder she wore to Elton John's White Tie and Tiara ball the same year. Westwood looks to be a high contender. Lindka Cierach  Princess Eugenie's engagement ring is strikingly similar to her mother Sarah Ferguson's. Lindka Cierach was the couturier behind the Duchess of York's ivory duchesse satin and beaded wedding dress in 1986, so could she also be designing for another royal wedding? Alice Temperley  The British designer is a favourite among the royal family and we reckon her vintage-inspired dresses would look amazing on Eugenie for her big day. Alberta Ferretti  Princess Eugenie stunned the world when she appeared on the cover of Harper's Bazaar in 2016. She wore her Erdem 'Hetty' engagement frock for one of the photos but it was the blush pink tulle Alberta Ferretti number that really wowed us. Jenny Packham  Jenny Packham unveiled her bridal collection in London for the first time in years to celebrate the label's 30th anniversary (the British designer usually showcases in New York) so could this be the biggest hint yet that something huge is on the cards for them this year?  Royal wedding dresses in pictures: Brides from the Queen Mother to Kate Middleton as Meghan Markle prepares to join The Firm View gallery Oscar de la Renta  The fashion house has designed wedding dresses for some of the most high profile brides, including Amal Clooney, so a royal wedding would be the icing on cake. Princess Eugenie's wedding dress compared to Sarah Ferguson's
Princess Eugenie's wedding dress compared to Sarah Ferguson's: https://www.newidea.com.au/princess-eugenie-wedding-dress-compared-to-sarah-fergusons. Thanks for watching, subscribe for more videos: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC_PwdFVp32NtZPUqZfAM_jw?sub_confirmation=1  We finally have our first look at royal bride Princess Eugenie's wedding dress as she arrived at St. George's Chapel at Windsor Castle to wed Jack Brooksbank.  But how does her gown compare to her mum's Sarah 'Fergie' Ferguson's dress when she wed Prince Andrew in 1986?  According to fashion expert Donny Galella, there are distinct similarities between Eugenie's dress and that of Fergie's.  Eugenie, the granddaughter of Queen Elizabeth, 28, arrived at her ceremony in to St George's Chapel in a 1977 Rolls Royce Phantom VI, accompanied by her father, His Royal Highness The Duke of York, wearing a dress designed by British-based Peter Pilotto and Christopher De Vos.  Fergie, the Duchess of York, married Prince Andrew in 1986 in an over-the-top fairytale ceremony wearing bespoke dress by unknown London designer, Lindka Cierach.  Bumblebees and thistles were also embroidered onto gown as a nod to represent her family's crest.  Fergie wore the York Diamond Tiara at her wedding. The sparkler was commissioned for Fergie as a gift rom Queen Elizabeth. Princess Eugenie on her wedding day Getty  Featuring a scooped neckline and fitted bodice, the silk ivory gown's unconventional design was a first for any royal bride.  The gown also featured the letter 'A' (for her now-ex husband Andrew) secretly embroidered on the 5 metre train. Fergie and Prince Andrew on their wedding day Getty  Eugenie's dress also included a number of symbols that are meaningful to Princess Eugenie as motifs, including a thistle for Scotland acknowledging the couple’s fondness for Balmoral, a Shamrock for Ireland as a nod to the bride’s Ferguson family, and the York Rose and ivy representing the couple’s home.  Eugenie also wore the Greville Emerald Kokoshnik Tiara, made in 1919 in the fashionable “kokoshnik” style popularised in the Russian Imperial Court, which has been lent to her by the Queen.  'I feel she’s channeling her mums dress just a little bit. From the back it reminds me of Fergie's wedding dress,' Donny told New Idea, of Eugenie's gown.  Eugenie's dress has been compared to her mother, Sarah Ferguson's Getty Fergie's gown featured a 17-feet long train Getty 'I feel she’s channeling her mums dress just a little bit,' said fashion expert Donny Galella of Eugenie's wedding gown Getty Fergie and her father on her royal wedding day Getty  'From the front, I like the bottom of the dress and the simplicity, no beading or lace (just like Meghan).  'I am not a huge fan of the sailor collar and very surprised there is no veil. Nice simple bouquet and hair make up looks natural.  'She has cleverly matched the emerald earrings to her tiara.' #PrincessEugenie, #wedding, #dress, #compared, #SarahFerguson #RoyalWedding, #Royals, #SarahFerguson, #BeatriceandEugenie

Ranking The Royal Wedding Dresses From Worst To First
If you're new, Subscribe! → http://bit.ly/Subscribe-to-The-List When Prince Harry announced his marriage to Meghan Markle, there was a ton of speculation about just what kind of wedding dress her royal highness-to-be would choose. Would she opt for an elegant Alexander McQueen gown, like Kate Middleton? Or might she choose a piece that paid homage to Harry's late mother, Princess Diana? Others wondered if she'd go a completely different route and choose something totally untraditional to celebrate the spirit of her union. In the end, she seemed to find a happy medium between classic and contemporary with her choice of a stunning Givenchy gown. Like many of her bridal predecessors, Markle's wedding attire was meant to be remembered in the context of royal history, so let's take a look back at all the recent regal wedding gowns, starting with the worst and working our way back up to the best... Sarah Ferguson rebelled against royal tradition on her wedding day to Prince Andrew
I say thank you to those of you who are watching this video, do not forget to like, share and subscribers youtube channel Visit also my blog http: // http: //annbreakingnews.blogspot.co.id/ Twetter: https://twitter.com/breaking_ann THANK YOU How Sarah Ferguson rebelled against royal tradition on her wedding day to Prince Andrew SARAH FERGUSON is the Duchess of York and former wife of Prince Andrew. She is also the mother of Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice. The redheaded ex-royal found one way to rebel against royal tradition on her wedding day to Prince Harry. Sarah Ferguson and Prince Andrew married in 1986, in a much anticipated ceremony. The 58-year-old Duchess of York married the Prince, also 58, at Westminster Abbey in London in July. Sarah followed many royal traditions on the big day, including wearing a white dress and a tiara. Even her engagement ring followed suit, with a coloured stone in the centre, ringed by diamonds - a style worn by many royals. Fergie wore an ivory-silk wedding dress by Lindka Cierach, 65, who still dresses Princess Anne and Kate Middleton. The designer’s garments start at around £5000. She reportedly created a mother of the bride outfit for Carole Middleton for the Duchess of Cambridge’s wedding day, however she didn’t wear it. But there was one way Sarah threw royal rules out of the window at the wedding, and it's all to do with her bouquet. Big bouquets had been part of royal weddings for generations before her own big day, but the Duchess followed her own style. Unlike Princess Diana, who had an enormous bouquet of white roses, Sarah opted for something small. She carried a small spray, with Asiatic lilies, according to British Cut Flowers. The Queen also had a large bouquet with orchids. Like Fergie, Kate Middleton’s bouquet was very small. The Duchess of Cambridge opted from a homegrown bouquet made from Lily of the Valley. The Duchess and Prince Andrew sadly divorced three years after they married. Sarah Ferguson’s weight loss inspired many, and the red head has recently revealed the foods that helped her with her four stone weight loss. One of the Duchess’s daughters recently became engaged. Princess Eugenie’s engagement ring had a rare pink diamond, which looked a lot like her mothers. In royal style it has a coloured centre stone flanked by diamonds, and is very similar to her mother’s. Does Princess Beatrice have a boyfriend? Eugenie’s engagement sparked romance questions.
