How to administer the Oracle Enterprise Command Center for E-Business Suite
On September 28th, the Oracle Enterprise Command Center Framework Release 12.2 V1 Quick Install for Linux x86-64 was made general available on My Oracle Support as Patch 28574967. A detailed instruction document for installing the Oracle Enterprise Command Center Framework was uploaded into MOS in the Doc ID 2409163.1. Why another reporting tool? In an informal conversation with our head of finance, I mentioned the possible announcement of this product a few weeks before GA, and his first reaction was to ask: “why another reporting tool”. It is an awful truth that IT over the last few years has explored many reporting tools on different technologies and we’re still doing it. But this is different, and bear with me on this blog to learn why I think this is not just another “reporting tool”.

MySQL exporting and importing with command line
This is a quick demonstration showing you how to quickly export and import a specific MySQL database using mainly the command line. This is faster and somewhat less prone to errors than requesting a dump through phpMyAdmin, for example. You require SSH access, though. Shared hosts usually do not provide this. This is a quick video which I made for my portfolio, but for the sake of informational purposes I decided to do the video in English rather than in Dutch (I'm from Belgium). Sorry for potato quality.

how to launch any graphical application on linux or X11 forwarding or Xming launch
This video is about how to use Graphical application in Linux server environment. And this video will cover the basic concept of X11 forwarding, Xming server, DISPLAY variable in Linux and Graphical application on Linux. So to get the Graphical access to any GUI based application we need to follow below listed steps: 1. While logging into the server, Enable the X11 forwarding in Putty Setting. 2. After Login into the Linux machine you need run X11 forwarding server which is "xming" on window machine, which you are using to get access to the Linux server. 3. The xming can be downloaded from google and very easy to install. To launch Xming just click on "Xming Launch" icon and provide the port number where you want to run the xming server and finish the setup. 4. Once Xming is successfully launched on window machine. Just go to the Linux server and set the DISPLAY environment variable using the command "export DISPLAY=Window machine IP : Port of Xming server" i.e. "export DISPLAY=" (Refer video for more clarity). 5. You can launch any Graphical application now. Test using "xclock" command. Also check the IPTABLES & SELINUX status at your Linux machine, both should be turned off. We are focusing on the basic problems, which we are facing during the installation or implementation of any application and due to unavailability of related content, it took large amount of time. Hope this kind of video will help you and you will not lose your continuity during the activity. Will come with more videos soon.

Highly Available NFS (HANFS) Over ACFS
HANFS over ACFS enables highly available NFS servers to be configured using Oracle ACFS clusters. The NFS exports are exposed through Highly Available VIPs (HAVIPs), and this allows Oracle’s Clusterware agents to ensure that HAVIPs and NFS exports are always available. If the node hosting the export(s) fails, the corresponding HAVIP and hence its corresponding NFS export(s) will automatically fail over to one of the surviving nodes so that the NFS client continues to receive uninterrupted service of NFS exported paths.

How to Exclude Schemas and Tables using Export and Import. /* Step By Step */
Today I am showing you 1. How to perform Export and Import with Exclude Schemas and Tables in Oracle Datapump utility. When we take a Export Full database Backup but I don’t take a backup of Scott and System Schemas. That time we can use Exclude command. We can Export Scott Schema but exclude EMP , DEPT Tables. If the expdp exclude parameter is used directly from the command line (and  not in a parameter file (parfile)), the special characters (quote marks) in the exclude clause may need to be escaped with  backslash (\) character . Because of this, it is recommended that you always use a parameter file (parfile). In Windows we used round bracket ( ) in IN clouse. But In Linux, we used { } bracket. Exclude Schema: expdp system/admin directory=mydump FULL=Y dumpfile=full.dmp exclude=schema:\"=\'SCOTT\'\“ expdp system/admin directory=mydump FULL=Y dumpfile=full.dmp exclude=schema:\”In{\'SCOTT\‘,\’SYSTEM\’}\“ Exclude Tables: expdp system/admin directory=mydump schemas='SCOTT' dumpfile=scott.dmp exclude=table:\"=\'EMP\'\“ OR expdp system/admin directory=mydump dumpfile=scott.dmp schemas=‘SCOTT’ exclude=:\"IN {\’EMP\',\’ DEPT\‘}\“ It is very easy to understand.

Export Command in Shell Scripting
Hi Friends, Export Command The export command is one of the bash shell BUILTIN commands, which means it is part of your shell. Export command marks an environment variable to be exported with any newly forked child processes and thus it allows a child process to inherit all marked variables. Frequently Used Options -p : List of all names that are exported in the current shell -n : Remove names from export list -f : Names are exported as functions Think over the following example: $ Var1=shubhneet.com $ echo $Var1 shubhneet.com $ bash $ echo $Var1 $ Let's define a new variable called "Var1" containing a string "shubhneet.com" Now, Let's echo this command to print out a content of the variable "Var1" Now, Let's create a new child bash shell As you can see now, that variable "Var1" is no longer having any values Like, I said earlier any new child process forked from a parent process by default does not inherit parent's variables. This is where the export command comes handy. $exit $ echo $Var1 shubhneet.com $ export Var1 $ bash $ echo $Var1 shubhneet.com $ First, let's exit from the current child shell. Now, let's echo the variable Var1 to check if it is still there in the parent shell, so it is there. Now, let's use the export command to make the variable "Var1" to be exported when a new child process is created. Now, Let's create a new child bash shell And, Not Let's try to echo this variable in the child shell Gr8 this worked :) In our next video we will study about bash startup. So, Stay tuned and Please Like & Subscribe our channel for future videos. Thank You,

MySQL Workbench Database Export and Import
Learn Database Export and Import using MySQL Workbench. Open MySQL Workbench and logged in to MySQL database server using 'root' username and password. In previous couple of videos we learned how to Create, Alter, Drop Databases and Tables and also how to Insert, Read, Update, Delete data rows using MySQL Workbench. In this lecture we will learn how to Export and Import the database using MySQL Workbench. First of all to Export the databases or tables, from top menu 'Server' select 'Data Export' Option, which opens a new window of data export settings and options. The left section on the window displays all the existing databases on our MySQL database server. When we select a database by clicking on it, it displays all the respected tables under the selected database. We can select one or multiple database check-boxes to include the database in the Export file. Under 'Export Options' section, You can change the default export path of you choice. I'll keep the default one. By selecting first option that is 'Export to Dump Project Folder'. MySQL Workbench will save the save all tables as separate SQL file under one folder. Which is useful when you will be importing or restoring the export file one by one table. I'll go ahead quickly and first save as 'Export to Dump Project Folder', MySQL Workbench displays the progress bar and log. Now, I'll again export the database using 'Export to Self-contained File' option. To demonstrate the import first I'll delete the existing 'students' table under 'mytestdb' database. Display database details by clicking on 'i' symbol, select 'tables' tab. Select and right click 'students' table, and click 'Drop Table' option, confirm and delete the table. Click 'refresh' to update the tables section and we have no table in our 'mytestdb' database. Now select the database and from 'data import' window, select 'import from dump folder. 'Load folder contents' and select only 'mytestdb' database and click start import button to import 'students' table again. Go to 'mytestdb' database information window again and click 'refresh' button to reload table list again. and the 'students' table is back.
