NFS export options enable you to create more granular access control than is possible using just security list rules to limit VCN access. Exports control how NFS clients access file systems when connecting to a mount target. Export Command in Shell Scripting

02:36
Hi Friends, Export Command The export command is one of the bash shell BUILTIN commands, which means it is part of your shell. Export command marks an environment variable to be exported with any newly forked child processes and thus it allows a child process to inherit all marked variables. Frequently Used Options -p : List of all names that are exported in the current shell -n : Remove names from export list -f : Names are exported as functions Think over the following example: $ Var1=shubhneet.com $ echo $Var1 shubhneet.com $ bash $ echo $Var1 $ Let's define a new variable called "Var1" containing a string "shubhneet.com" Now, Let's echo this command to print out a content of the variable "Var1" Now, Let's create a new child bash shell As you can see now, that variable "Var1" is no longer having any values Like, I said earlier any new child process forked from a parent process by default does not inherit parent's variables. This is where the export command comes handy. $exit $ echo $Var1 shubhneet.com $ export Var1 $ bash $ echo $Var1 shubhneet.com $ First, let's exit from the current child shell. Now, let's echo the variable Var1 to check if it is still there in the parent shell, so it is there. Now, let's use the export command to make the variable "Var1" to be exported when a new child process is created. Now, Let's create a new child bash shell And, Not Let's try to echo this variable in the child shell Gr8 this worked :) In our next video we will study about bash startup. So, Stay tuned and Please Like & Subscribe our channel for future videos. Thank You,

how to launch any graphical application on linux or X11 forwarding or Xming launch

02:21
This video is about how to use Graphical application in Linux server environment. And this video will cover the basic concept of X11 forwarding, Xming server, DISPLAY variable in Linux and Graphical application on Linux. So to get the Graphical access to any GUI based application we need to follow below listed steps: 1. While logging into the server, Enable the X11 forwarding in Putty Setting. 2. After Login into the Linux machine you need run X11 forwarding server which is "xming" on window machine, which you are using to get access to the Linux server. 3. The xming can be downloaded from google and very easy to install. To launch Xming just click on "Xming Launch" icon and provide the port number where you want to run the xming server and finish the setup. 4. Once Xming is successfully launched on window machine. Just go to the Linux server and set the DISPLAY environment variable using the command "export DISPLAY=Window machine IP : Port of Xming server" i.e. "export DISPLAY=10.66.12.249:7.0" (Refer video for more clarity). 5. You can launch any Graphical application now. Test using "xclock" command. Also check the IPTABLES & SELINUX status at your Linux machine, both should be turned off. We are focusing on the basic problems, which we are facing during the installation or implementation of any application and due to unavailability of related content, it took large amount of time. Hope this kind of video will help you and you will not lose your continuity during the activity. Will come with more videos soon.

Oracle Data Pump

11:52
Oracle Data pump utility enables very fast bulk data and metadata movement between Oracle databases. It provides parallel Export and Import utilities (expdp and impdp) and Web-based Oracle Enterprise Manager Interface. 1. Data Pump Export and Import utilities are typically much faster than the original Export and Import Utilities. A single thread of Data Pump Export is about twice as fast as original Export, while Data Pump Import is 15-45 times fast than original Import. 2. Data Pump jobs can be restarted without loss of data, whether or not the stoppage was voluntary or involuntary. 3. Data Pump jobs support fine-grained object selection. Virtually any type of object can be included or excluded in a Data Pump job. 4. Data Pump supports the ability to load one instance directly from another (network import) and unload a remote instance (network export).

NixOS Linux 17.09 Installation + KDE Plasma Desktop + Apps on Oracle VirtualBox [2017]

We'll also install applications such as Firefox, Kate, VLC, GIMP, FileZilla and LibreOffice on NixOS Linux. This tutorial is also helpful to install NixOS 17.09 on physical computer or laptop hardware. We also test Guest Additions features such as Automatic Resizing Guest Display and Shared Clipboard on NixOS Linux. Steps: 1- Create Virtual Machine on Oracle VirtualBox 2- Start NixOS 17.09 Installation 3- Installing Xorg and KDE Plasma Desktop 4- Installing Firefox, Kate, VLC, GIMP, FileZilla and LibreOffice Applications on NixOS Linux 5- Test Guest Additions Features: Automatic Resizing Guest Display and Shared Clipboard NixOS Linux 17.09 New Features and Improvements NixOS is a Linux distribution which is assembled using the Nix package manager. Nix features package snapshots, rollbacks and the ability to manage the configuration of the operating system and its services. NixOS 17.09 offers updated desktop packages, the ability to revive old user identification numbers (UIDs) and many new services. In addition to numerous new and upgraded packages, this release has the following highlights: - The GNOME version is now 3.24. KDE Plasma was upgraded to 5.10, KDE Applications to 17.08.1 and KDE Frameworks to 5.37. - The user handling now keeps track of deallocated UIDs/GIDs. When a user or group is revived, this allows it to be allocated the UID/GID it had before. A consequence is that UIDs and GIDs are no longer reused. - The handling of SSL in the services.nginx module has been cleaned up, renaming the misnamed enableSSL to onlySSL which reflects its original intention. This is not to be used with the already existing forceSSL which creates a second non-SSL virtual host redirecting to the SSL virtual host. Another addSSL option has been introduced to configure both a non-SSL virtual host and an SSL virtual host with the same configuration. NixOS Linux Website: https://nixos.org/ Download NixOS 17.09 ISO: https://nixos.org/nixos/download.html What is KDE Desktop? The KDE Community is an international technology team dedicated to creating a free and user-friendly computing experience, offering an advanced graphical desktop, a wide variety of applications for communication, work, education and entertainment and a platform to easily build new applications upon. In this regard, the resources provided by KDE make it a central development hub and home for many popular applications and projects like Calligra Suite, Krita, digiKam, and many others. KDE Website: https://www.kde.org/ What is KDE Plasma 5? KDE Plasma 5 is the fifth and current generation of the desktop environment created by KDE primarily for Linux systems. KDE Plasma 5 is the successor of KDE Plasma 4 and was initially released on 15 July 2014. It includes a new default theme, known as "Breeze", as well as increased convergence across different devices. The graphical interface was fully migrated to QML, which uses OpenGL for hardware acceleration resulting in better performance and reduced power consumption. Plasma 5.0 improves support for HiDPI displays and ships a converged graphical shell, able to modify the graphical shell according to the device in use. It also includes a new default theme, dubbed Breeze. Hope you found it informative and useful. Any questions or comments are welcomed. Highly Available NFS (HANFS) Over ACFS

55:38
HANFS over ACFS enables highly available NFS servers to be configured using Oracle ACFS clusters. The NFS exports are exposed through Highly Available VIPs (HAVIPs), and this allows Oracle’s Clusterware agents to ensure that HAVIPs and NFS exports are always available. If the node hosting the export(s) fails, the corresponding HAVIP and hence its corresponding NFS export(s) will automatically fail over to one of the surviving nodes so that the NFS client continues to receive uninterrupted service of NFS exported paths.

How to Set Environment Variables in Linux

00:56
Follow this tutorial to learn how to set shell environment variables in a Linux operating system like Ubuntu. Don't forget to check out our site http://howtech.tv/ for more free how-to videos! http://youtube.com/ithowtovids - our feed http://www.facebook.com/howtechtv - join us on facebook https://plus.google.com/103440382717658277879 - our group in Google+ In this tutorial, you will learn how to set environment variables in linux. Linux based operating systems use bash shell. The shell environment variables are used for several purposes, from storing data, storing software configurations, set terminal settings, and changing shell environment. The environment variables are normally created by the operating system during installation, or by different software as per the required need. Apart from that, in linux, to set environment variables, we first need to access the terminal application. That's because the user has the privilege to add, edit, and remove different variables at will. Step # 1 -- All variables on terminal In linux, to set environment variables we first need to access shell environment variables. For that, we will need to open the terminal by searching for it in the applications menu, or selecting it from the dock on the left. Once the terminal is opened up, to check for all environment variables, type the set command and press enter. This will list all the environment variables stored in the shell. Step # 2 -- One variable at a time The amount of these variables can become a very long list and locating one specific variable can become a tough task. Fortunately Linux allows us to display the value of one shell variable by using the echo command along with the name of the variable. This makes the task very easy. Step # 3 -- Changing a variable Now, to add or modify an environment variable, we can use the export command followed by the name of the variable and the values that go with it. Multiple values for a variable need to be separated by a colon. The colon indicates to the operating system that one value has ended and another has begun. The variables can be created and removed from the shell easily, and can be done whenever required. But changing important variables may mess with the operating system's functionalities so it's important to be careful. And that's basically all you need to know for how to set environment variables in Linux.

Kali 2017.1 Installation in Oracle VM virtualbox | How to add Ova file of kali linux in virtual box

05:07
Kali 2017.1 Installation in Oracle VM virtualbox | How to add Ova file of kali linux in virtual box First you have to download and install oracle vm virtualbox software in your PC from https://www.virtualbox.org website, VirtualBox is a powerful x86 and AMD64/Intel64 virtualization product for enterprise as well as home use. Not only is VirtualBox an extremely feature rich, high performance product for enterprise customers, it is also the only professional solution that is freely available as Open Source Software under the terms of the GNU General Public License (GPL) version 2. See "About VirtualBox" for an introduction. Presently, VirtualBox runs on Windows, Linux, Macintosh, and Solaris hosts and supports a large number of guest operating systems including but not limited to Windows (NT 4.0, 2000, XP, Server 2003, Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 10), DOS/Windows 3.x, Linux (2.4, 2.6, 3.x and 4.x), Solaris and OpenSolaris, OS/2, and OpenBSD. VirtualBox is being actively developed with frequent releases and has an ever growing list of features, supported guest operating systems and platforms it runs on. VirtualBox is a community effort backed by a dedicated company: everyone is encouraged to contribute while Oracle ensures the product always meets professional quality criteria. then download virtual image file (ova file ) from kali official site https://www.kali.org Kali Linux is specifically geared to meet the requirements of professional penetration testing and security auditing. To achieve this, several core changes have been implemented in Kali Linux which reflect these needs: Single user, root access by design: Due to the nature of security audits, Kali Linux is designed to be used in a “single, root user” scenario. Many of the tools used in penetration testing require escalated privileges, and while it’s generally sound policy to only enable root privileges when necessary, in the use cases that Kali Linux is aimed at, this approach would be a burden. Network services disabled by default: Kali Linux contains systemd hooks that disable network services by default. These hooks allow us to install various services on Kali Linux, while ensuring that our distribution remains secure by default, no matter what packages are installed. Additional services such as Bluetooth are also blacklisted by default. Custom Linux kernel: Kali Linux uses an upstream kernel, patched for wireless injection. A minimal and trusted set of repositories: given the aims and goals of Kali Linux, maintaining the integrity of the system as a whole is absolutely key. With that goal in mind, the set of upstream software sources which Kali uses is kept to an absolute minimum.
