Hey hey, TV fanatics! I'm Jager Weatherby from http://www.wetpaint.com, and I'm here to run down some of TV's hottest gingers.
Now, redheads often get a bad rap as the evil, cursed step-children of the world — but here at Wetpaint we strongly disagree with that stereotype. There are plenty of hot gingers out there in the TV galaxy and we want to celebrate 'em. Remember, Lucille Ball would be topping this list if gingers from the 1950s were eligible. Let's go!
First up is one of the youngest gingers on TV. As Alexis on Castle, Molly Quinn has shown teenage girls everywhere that being brainy is just as important as being pretty. She's well-spoken, she's cute, and she's had more success at the age of 17 than most of us will ever know. Molls, we love ya.
Up next is another Molly. It's been awhile since Andrew McCarthy and Emilio Estevez fell all over themselves for Molly Ringwald's attention in the roaring '80s, but Molls is still one of the hottest redheads on the block. She may play a mom on The Secret Life of the American Teenager, but Molly will always be remembered as one of the most famous teenagers of all time. As long as she keeps that red hair, we can hardly tell the difference.
Now is there anything hotter than a vampire these days? A red-headed vampire just takes it to another level altogether, and Deborah Ann Woll is one such flame-haired vamp vixen who's heating up the small screen with her role as Jessica on True Blood. Deb's hair isn't exactly blood red, but that's probably for the best.
And another True Blood-er who's sporting Crayola-red tresses is Arlene Fowler, played by Carrie Preston. Now, Arlene's hair is the kind of red that your dolls had when you were younger. We didn't think it was possible to make that color on an actual person, but if there's anyone who can pull it off, it's her.
But the most va-va-voom of all the redheads might just be Christina Hendricks of Mad Men. Homegirl is bringing back old Hollywood glamour as the sexy and sassy Joan Holloway. Love, love, LOVE her!
And of course, we can't leave the dudes out! So let's end with few of our fave male gingers. TJ Thyne, aka Dr. Jack Hodgins on Bones, is by far the cutest forensic entomologist we've EVER seen. And Kevin McKidd from Grey's Anatomy? Who wouldn't want to have an operation if Dr. Owen Hunt was the one performing it? And finally, there's Conan O'Brien. What's great about CoCo's hair isn't just that it's red, but that he's one of the few guys on the planet with an actual hair style. His adorable pompador bang action thingie has to be the source of his strength and humor. How else could he have bounced back from losing The Tonight Show?
That's all for now. Be sure to check back at http://www.wetpaint.com for all the latest on your favorite TV gingers, blondies, and brunettes. Bye!
