► Subscribe: https://goo.gl/vHN6qB For copyright matters please contact us at: [email protected] The animal kingdom is diverse and fascinating, and there are many different versions of the same species all over the planet. In some areas, such as the deepest reaches of the Amazon Rainforest, we know very little about all the creatures that exist there. And while us humans tend to think of ourselves as the masters of our world, it cannot be denied that there are many weird and wonderful things on Planet Earth of which we are simply unaware. That’s why everyone becomes so excited when we discover a new plant or animal species. Recently scientists have discovered new species of wasp, shark, ape, and even new animals descended from Dinosaurs! With that in mind, here are 10 amazing animals that have only been discovered in recent years. Squalus Clarkae Also known as the “Genie’s Dogfish,” this tiny member of the shark family, specifically the dogfish shark, grows just 20 to 28 inches long. Found in the deep waters of the Gulf of Mexico, this dainty predator has huge, anime-like eyes which are perfect for seeing in the deep, dark waters. Calistoga Crassicaudata Despite being just 9.8 millimeters long, this species of parasitic wasp is native to the Amazon, and is one of the most nightmarish creatures on this list. Its stinger is about half the length of its tiny body and is also an “ovipositor.” This means that that stinger also deposits eggs, along with a paralytic toxin into the wound it creates. Caelestiventus Hanseni This entry has been, thankfully, discovered post extinction. If you think we’re cruel for saying this, just wait until you hear about C.Hanseni! C. Hanseni was, in fact, a breed of Giant Pterosaur which sported no less than 110 teeth and 4 seriously wicked fangs. The scientists responsible for discovering it estimate that it may have had a wingspan of around 4.9 feet and fangs 2.5 centimeters in length. Mansourasaurus shahinae The second ancient discovery on our list is less carnivorous, but no less terrifying for its vegetarian nature. The Mansourasaurus was found in Egypt by archeologists in late 2017. This sauropod was long-necked, long-tailed, and the size of a modern-day bus! What makes this discovery so exciting? Dendrocerus Scutellaris Another member of the wasp family which has been discovered in recent years, D.Scutellaris is also a parasitic wasp that seems to have cut its way straight from a scary movie. Like it’s cousin C.Crassicaudata, this wasp lays eggs inside of a host. The larvae then hatch and, well you get the rest. Despite this, D.Scutellaris lacks the strong, pointy jaws that most endoparasitoid wasps use to chew their way free. Tardigrades Lovers of weird and wonderful animals will already know about the famously sturdy Tardigrade or as its sometimes called “water bear”. This tiny microscopic creature can survive in extreme cold down to negative -328 degrees Fahrenheit and extreme heat up to 300 degrees Fahrenheit. In fact, they can even survive in the intense radiation and crushing vacuum of space! Talk about a super-creature, right? Shastasaurid The creatures of the world’s oceans remain more mysterious than even the surface of the moon; deep dwelling animals are still being discovered, today, and so it is little surprise that we are still becoming aware of now extinct species. Junzi Imperialis The burials of ancient Chinese royals were very often flamboyant and outlandish affairs which displayed the wealth and importance of the person through the goods they were buried with. Even still, archaeologists were surprised to find the remains of an extinct and ancient member of the Gibbon family within the burial menagerie of the grandmother of China’s first Emperor. The Bryant Shark Thanks to recent movies and media, the public is more aware of ancient sea life than ever before. Jurassic World, and The Meg have brought huge, sea-dwelling dinos into the public eye. But while we know about the infamous Megalodon, the largest shark to ever exist, few are aware of the ongoing search for one of its ancestors Orthrozanclus Elongata With an armored back and spikes lining its sides, this 515-million-year-old critter would probably give most people a nasty scare if they were to see it in person. The cocktail-stick-like spikes on its back were longer than the creature was wide and extended like sunbursts. Discoverer Dr. Martin Smith remarks that this would have made them look rather like a cuddly cactus. We hope you enjoyed this video! Let us know which one of these animals was your favorite. And if you liked the video, like, share, subscribe and turn on notifications so you will be the first to know when we release a new video. Thank you for watching!

From Nemo, the clownfish, to the beautiful and elusive Blue Sea Slug, these are 19 INCREDIBLY Colorful Sea Creatures ! 8. Blue Tang -- Undersea creatures seem to look really cool in blue … and this one is no exception. The Blue Tang shows off some amazing blue coloration complemented by bold black markings. It almost sounds like a fashion shows, right? These fish are usually found in Indo-Pacific waters and are actually bright yellow when they’re younger. The blue and black colors show up at their final phase of development. 7. Coral -- Is that a brain at the bottom of the ocean? No … but it is a brain coral … and just an example of the wide ranging variety of living coral and coral reefs, some of which are thought to have started growing over 50 million years ago. Contrary to some beliefs, coral are animals, not plants … they’re actually related to anemones and jellyfish. The reefs formed by coral provide housing for thousands of marine species, giving them a place to find food, reproduce, and keep them safe until they’re mature enough to venture into the deeper ocean. Did you know coral reef plants and animals have proven important to the development of new medicines to treat cancer, Alzheimer's and heart disease? But even with all those advantages, human activity is threatening almost 60 percent of the world’s coral reefs. 6. Flower Hat Jellyfish -- This rare species of jellyfish is a rare species usually found in the waters of southern japan, Argentina and Brazil. It can grow to a half-foot in diameter, and is easily recognizable by its translucent bell, which is pinstriped with opaque bands. Those coiling tentacles adhere to the rim while not in use. Like many pretty looking things, this jelly carries a sting … but even though it’s painful, it’s non-lethal to humans … the worst you’d get is a rash. 5. Blue Sea Slug -- We couldn’t find a lot of information on this critter. From what we’ve seen, it’s often identified as a Blue Sea Slug … but that sounds like a pedestrian name for such a colorful creature. You can see the brilliant blue coloration in this photo … the animal almost looks like an alien life form with the two antennae sticking up. We’re guessing it might be a Nudibranch (new-di-brank). Those mollusks are noted for their striking colors, and there are more than 2,300 validated species scattered about the world. Can you confirm that? Let us know in the comments! 4. Mantis Shrimp -- They’re one of the most colorful forms of marine life, but don’t be fooled. They’re also known as ferocious undersea predators that possess, pound for pound, one of the most powerful punches on the planet. Punching with speed equal to a .22 caliber bullet, the Mantis Shrimp has not only broken shells of its prey … it’s also broken through aquarium glass. Punching at that velocity makes water vaporize and explode with a sharp bang, a flash of light and extremely high heat, all of which is felt by the victim as an additional blast. Not bad for an animal that averages less than four inches long. 3. Juvenile Emperor Angelfish -- Their coloration will change with age … but while they’re young, they exhibit these amazing displays of swirling dark blue, white and electric blue. It almost look hypnotic, right? Well, the fish keeps these distinct patterns until it reaches maturity, which usually takes around 4 years. Then the fish develops blue and yellow stripes, and black shading around its eyes. 2. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amphiprioninae Clownfish -- Did you recognize them from “Finding Nemo”? Known as one of the most brightly colored fish in the world, their bodies have distinctive white striping with colors that can vary from red, orange or yellow. They’re also known as anemone fishes, because of their mutually beneficial relationship with sea anemones. The toxic tentacles of the anemones protect clownfish from predators. And the fast movement of the fishes helps anemones find food and increase circulation. 1. The Mandarinfish -- Also known as the “Mandarin Dragonet” it swims in the Pacific reefs … but it’s less than 3 inches long so it can be difficult to see in the wild. As you might guess, this fish is highly sought after in the aquarium trade … but they’re considered extremely difficult to their strict eating habits. Some people think the Mandarinfish might be the most beautiful fish in the world … would you agree? to Epic Wildlife http://goo.gl/6rzs5u Let's Connect -- http://www.epicadamwildlife.com/ -- http://www.facebook.com/epicadamwildlife -- http://www.twitter.com/epicwildlife -- http://gplus.to/epicwildlife

Did you know any of these amazing and scary deep sea creatures? It's hard to believe these bizarre animals exist. Subscribe: http://goo.gl/9CwQhg 'Hatchet Fish' footage by Filmic Art : www.filmicart.com For copyright matters please contact us at: [email protected] Description: There is a vast world below the ocean that we have yet to discover in its entirety. While we seem to know nearly everything about the land, the sea still leaves much to be desired. As you go down into the depths of the ocean, you’ll notice a lot will change. For one, you’ll begin to be immersed in darkness. Second, the pressure will change. So, the creatures that have been discovered deep in the oceanic depths are quite different biologically, and they can be quite terrifying to look at. But once we begin to understand them, we can start to learn more about our existence, and even come closer to curing diseases and solving some of the world’s most complex mysteries. However, the sea creatures that have been discovered recently have shown to be just downright creepy and terrifying. You probably recall the Angler Fish, especially if you’re seen the Disney movie, “Finding Nemo”. If you didn’t realize that this fish is the real deal, get ready for new additions to your nightmares. It wasn’t a work of fiction or some messed up fantasy of some Disney Imagineer. The fish that we see in this video is actually female, and the male is a small weakling, wandering the sea to find a female with her pheromones. The male then attaches itself to the female and becomes a parasite. Every part of the male merges with the female except for the testicles, which the female uses to impregnate herself. Jokes aside, this is quite a fascinating process despite how creepy it is. Similar to the angler fish is the Viper Fish, which has a natural extra attachment that illuminates in the darkness of the sea with the purpose of attracting prey. The blob fish is a creature that you wonder what God was smoking or shooting up when he decided to create the blob fish. This fish has no bones, and literally just hangs out on the ocean floor and hopes that food comes to its mouth. Whether you want to worship the blob fish for its epic level of laziness or wonder how in the world the species is still in existence with such an apathetic demeanor, it’s still creepy to look at. Then we have the goblin shark, which is pretty much like the underwater version of the alien from the movie “Alien” due to its protruding mouth. The goblin shark has a large snout and needle-like teeth that are sharp and deadly. For a completely random sea creature, we have the Christmas Tree Worms, which really look like tiny walking fir trees that come in different colors. The branches or hair-like appendages help them breathe as well as consume phytoplankton. Then we have the sea pig, which looks nothing like the pigs we have on land. But instead the sea pig is a multi-tubed foot sea creature that is closely related to the sea cucumber. It eats by pulling water and absorbing organic food. Quite innovative, even though it looks creepy. For more creepy sea creatures, check out the rest of the video for more. 10 Most Dangerous Water Animals In The World ► Subscribe: https://goo.gl/vHN6qB For copyright matters please contact us at: [email protected] There are many different types of creatures that live in streams, lakes, seas and oceans. And while many of these creatures are harmless, there are many that are incredibly dangerous if you happen to have an encounter with them. These dangerous animals lurk beneath the surface of the water in a world vastly different than ours, and must be deadly to survive. Join us as we take a look at 10 of the most dangerous water creatures. 10. Australian Box Jellyfish – This creature is not one to be messed around with if you happen to swim into a swarm of them. And while they may seem harmless, the Australian box jellyfish is considered to be the most venomous marine animal in the world. They have tentacles that are covered with tiny darts called nematocysts, and they are loaded with poison. 9. Flower Urchin – Beautiful but deadly, these sea urchins are extremely venomous. They look like a bouquet of small flowers; to which they get their name from. They feed on invertebrates, sponges, and dead fish, and have well developed jaws for grinding up their prey. 8. The Saltwater Crocodile – Evolving around 200 million years in the Mesozoic epoch, crocodiles have far outlived the dinosaurs. The Salt water crocodile is the world’s largest reptile, and they have been known to grow up to 27 feet long and weigh 2,465 lbs. 7. Textile Cone Snail – Mother nature teaches us that anything in nature that is beautiful, is most likely deadly, and a warning to predators and humans to not touch or disturb them. This holds true for the Textile Cone Snail. 6. The Sea Snake – These highly venomous marine snakes are closely related and belong to the same family as the cobra. There are two independently evolved groups: the true sea snakes which are related to Australian terrestrial elapids, and the sea kraits which are related to Asian cobras. 5. The Lionfish – Lionfish are skilled hunters, using specialized bilateral swim bladder muscles to provide exquisite control of location in the water column, allowing the fish to alter its center of gravity to better attack prey. The lionfish then spreads its large pectoral fins and swallows its prey in a single motion. 4. The Stingray – Stingrays are a group of rays, which are cartilaginous fish related to sharks, and are one of the oceans deadliest creatures. Most stingrays have one or more barbed stingers on their tails, which are used exclusively for self-defense. 3. Blue-Ringed Octopus – This octopus has some of the most striking colors of any ocean creature. They get their name from the brightly blue colored rings on its body. 2. Needlefish – These strange looking creatures are very slender, and have a single dorsal fin, placed far back on the body. Needlefish are capable of making short jumps out of the water at up to 37 mph. Since Needlefish swim near the surface, they often leap over the decks of shallow boats rather than going around. 1. The Moray Eel - Most attacks stem from disruption of a moray's burrow to which they react strongly, but an increasing number of accidents also occur during hand feeding of morays by divers, an activity often used by dive companies to attract tourists.

They also have a wider depth range than any other family of fish but they stick to strictly cold waters, so any found in the tropics are deep-water only. The slimy-looking fish are highly-resilient creatures, and some contain antifreeze properties, making them able to withstand frigid temperatures. In May of 2017, the record for deepest living fish ever recorded was set by a snailfish caught on camera swimming 26,831 feet below the surface in the Mariana Trench. That’s nearly as deep as Mount Everest is tall, so they’re obviously some mutant form of super fish. 5. Springtail The springtail used to be classified as an insect but made its way from the bottom now they here, as an Entognatha, or a wingless arthropod. The reason for the change is the fact that they have internal mouthparts as opposed to the external found in insects. They are typically about .24 inches long or shorter and have segmented bodies that contain glycerol, which helps keep them from freezing to death, although it is still possible. Springtails also possess the ability to slow their metabolism down to conserve energy, and if stuff hits the fan and conditions get too extreme, they can shut down into a hibernation-like state. These heeby-jeeby inducing creatures can jump great distances using their tail-like, spring-like furcula that is continuously tensed under their bodies just waiting to be released and because of their jumping habits they’ve been given the nickname “snow flea. We’re just going to say that we’d probably freak if we found them on ourselves or our cats. Especially our cats. 4. Sea Spider Alright, so this guy looks like a straight creepy-crawly of the ocean; somebody bust out the bug spray. But in all seriousness, meet the Sea Spider. A marine arthropod found in oceans all over the world, but extra large in the Antarctic and deeper waters. They’re not actual spiders, either. They’re classified as chelicerates, which makes them closer to spiders than other arthropods such as crabs and lobsters. These freaky bug-like creatures have tiny little bodies and really long, thin legs, numbering between eight and twelve. They have no respiratory system and a proboscis—basically a snout, or long tubular organ—that they use to suck necessary nutrients from invertebrates with soft enough skin to allow for penetration of the proboscis. They can grow to be up to 2.3 feet from leg to leg, and to that, we say nope. Keep your freaky self to yourself, Sea Spider. 3. Greenland Shark Want to hear something crazy? This bad boy has the longest lifespan of any vertebrate species, with scientists believing they can live between 400 and 500 years; that means right now there could be Greenland Sharks swimming around that were around while the Salem witch trials were going on in 1692. These predators are pretty restricted to waters of the North Atlantic and the Arctic Ocean. They eat things like smaller sharks, Arctic char, cod, herring, flounder, and eels, but they’ve never even been observed hunting. They have, however, been found with remains of animals in their stomachs that they’re not known to eat, like polar bears, horses, moose, and once even an entire reindeer body. The meat of a Greenland Shark is toxic; despite that, it’s treated and served in Iceland as a delicacy. For now. It sounds like they’re kinda flirting with disaster. 2. Eulagisca gigantea This freaky fish-looking creature is actually not a fish at all, but a worm. Found on the seabed of the Southern Ocean, this little guy can grow to lengths of about eight inches and a width of around four. They almost appear like big shrimp, as they have forty segments and is dorso-ventrally flattened. They have bristles that can be used for swimming, self-defense, and probably crawling about on the ocean floor. The mouth-looking part of this worm is really a retractable pharynx that is the size of about a quarter of the length of the entire thing, meaning it’s terrifying. Its diet is unknown, but scientists believe that it is some kind of carnivore judging by the size of its jaws. Considering we don’t know what it eats, don’t get near one anytime soon. 1...

Deep Sea Creatures [National Geographic Documentary 2017 HD] The Deep sea creature refers to organisms that live below the photic zone of the ocean. These creatures must survive in extremely harsh conditions, such as hundreds of bars of pressure, small amounts of oxygen, very little food, no sunlight, and constant, extreme cold. Most creatures have to depend on food floating down from above. These creatures live in very demanding environments, such as the abyssal or hadal zones, which, being thousands of meters below the surface, are almost completely devoid of light. The water is between 3 and 10 degrees Celsius and has low oxygen levels. Due to the depth, the pressure is between 20 and 1,000 bars. Creatures that live hundreds or even thousands of meters deep in the ocean have adapted to the high pressure, lack of light, and other factors. The depths of the ocean are festooned with the most nightmarish creatures imaginable. You might think you’re safe, because these critters live thousands of feet down in a cold dark abyss, but the vampire squid, which looks like a nightmare umbrella, and the frilled shark—a literal living fossil—will live on in the recesses of your mind long after you’ve clicked away. Enjoy these deep sea horrors and try to have a relaxing day afterward. ► NOTE : I'm a big fan of National Geographic and I just collect the best parts of National Geographic. From the hairy creature that washed up on the shores of Russia to a scary unidentified animal deep in the Amazon jungle, here are 10 of the most bizarre unidentified creatures. # 5 Zuiyo-Maru Carcass In April of 1977, a Japanese trawler was sailing around New Zealand when their net got tangled in a huge mass. They run their nets at around 980 feet below the surface of the water when something heavy caught itself in the net. They ended up pulling out a 3,960 pound, foul smelling, rotting carcass up from the ocean. The carcass was around 32 feet long and had what looked like a 5 foot neck. The crew of the Zuiyo-Maru thought they had uncovered a new monster like the Loch ness monster. They gave it the nickname “New Nessie” because of this. After the picture spread across Japan, the nation became obsessed with it and the common theory arose that it was the remains of a Plesiosaur. However, this theory was soon debunked and the fishing company who caught it released a statement saying that it was the decomposed carcass of a Basking Shark which can grow to over 30 feet in length. Despite this, many people stick steadfast to the Plesiosaur theory. # 4 Tully Monster Since its discovery in 1958, this creature’s fossilized skeletons have baffled the science community. It was so alien and monstrous looking it earned the scientific name Tullimonstrum - named after the scientist who discovered it, Tully, and monstrum - which means monster and strange. The Tully monster was a strange fish that lived 300 million years ago and has a completely unique form. It had a long claw like appendage at the front of its body and eyes similar to a mollusk. It wasn’t until 2016 when this creature was officially classified as a fish by a Yale-led paleontology team because of how strange its fossils look. # 3 Unknown Creature Found in Amazon This image originates from a Youtube video posted on March 2015, without any caption. The only information available is the title “Unknown Creature Found in Amazon”. The lack of information and details on this image brings its authenticity into question. There is also obvious editing of the foliage around the subject, and the arms and feed look like theyh have been manipulated in an editing program. It is likely originally a cell phone photo of a dead monkey carcass found by someone walking through the area that was manipulated to look more dramatic and strange. # 2 Panama Creature In September 2009, a photograph of a creature’s corpse was found near a Panama Coast. The story goes that a bunch of teenagers spotted the creature crawling out of a cave when and were being attacked by it before they beat it with a stick and then took a picture of evidence of the strange creature. The alien appearance of this corpse earned it the nicknames “Panama Creature” and “Panama ET”. However the carcass was taken in by local zoology experts and an autopsy was performed on it. The procedure revealed that it was in fact not an alien but a sloth. The sloth was mostly decomposed by the water and had reached the bloating stage of rotting which gave it a very strange and scary appearance. # 1 Hairy Dolphin In 2015, a strange creature washed up on the coast of Russia. It looked like a weird hybrid between a Jim Hansen puppet and a sea creature. What it really looked like was a furry dolphin, which is something that shouldn’t exist. The carcass was also described as “twice as large as a human” putting it at around 10-12 feet in length. It was speculated to be either an Indian or Ganges dolphin which aren’t local to Russian waters. The main accepted theory now is that the dolphin was brought to the coast by a warm current, before the water got too cold for it and it died. The “fur” found on the carcass is likely a kind of algae that attached to the body and resembles tufts of hair. Northern Stargazer Astroscopus guttatus is a strange-looking fish that’s known more commonly as the Northern Stargazer. In paradoxical contrast to its romantic-sounding name, the Northern Stargazer is, for lack of a better term, unattractive, if not downright homely. It dwells at the bottom of the Chesapeake Bay and along the eastern seaboard of the United States, from North Carolina to New York, in waters up to 120 feet deep. So if you live around here, keep an eye out! 6. Giant Squid Until 2006, the existence of the giant squid was considered to be barely more realistic than that of the Yeti, the Loch Ness Monster, Sasquatch, and dozens of other creatures that were rumored to exist, but remained largely relegated to mythological status. The only thing that placed the giant squid a notch or two above the rest of those creatures were the scars left on whales and the discovery of their carcasses by fishermen after having floated to the water’s surface. 5. Black Dragonfish The black dragonfish is a deep-sea dweller that resides about 2,000 meters below the ocean’s surface. The amazing thing about this guy is that is represents one of the most extreme cases of sexual dimorphism, which refers to a distinct difference between the sexes in size or appearance that exceeds the fundamental difference between sexual organs. 4. Deep Sea Anglerfish Like the black dragonfish, male deep sea anglerfish are smaller than females. In this case, some male species of anglerfish are parasitic, and subsist by attaching themselves to the body of a female. While they may not have a gut, they do have teeth! 3. Goblin Shark The goblin shark is a rare species of deep-sea shark. It’s the only surviving relative of a 125-million-year-old lineage known as the family Mitsukurinidae. Because of this, the goblin shark has earned the nickname “living fossil.” The goblin shark’s distinctive appearance is creepy to begin with: it’s pink-skinned with an elongated, flattened snout that resembles a sword blade. 2. Blobfish Our next spooky sea creature is, quite possibly, the world’s ugliest animal. I don’t know, between this and the deep sea angler fish, which one do you think?? Let me know in the comments below!! It goes through life doing exactly what you’d probably expect a blob to do - not much. In the deep waters off the coasts of Australia, Tasmania, and New Zealand that it calls home, the blobfish survives essentially by drifting around on the ocean floor at great depths and eating whatever appears in front of it, namely deepwater crustaceans. 1. Frilled Shark At first glance, the frilled shark looks like something you might see in a science fiction movie - perhaps, for example, an unlikely hybrid between an eel and a shark. The frilled shark however, is real. Like the goblin shark, it’s often referred to as a “living fossil,” a nickname that alludes to the minimal change the species has undergone since prehistoric times. Here are 5 Extremely Creepy Deep Sea Creatures Click Here To Subscribe! http://bit.ly/EliteFacts List : 5. The Ningen This creature from the depths of the ocean may be just about the creepiest thing you could ever see. The reason for this, is that it looks just like a human even having strange limbs that resemble arms and legs. The name Ningen is actually human in Japanese. However, there is no need to panic and worry that the world will be taken over by strange alien sea creatures, because there has never been any official sightings of this little beastie and general opinion is that it’s just a freaky urban myth much like the mermaid. 4. Mantis Shrimp This rainbow hued little creature is not as nice as it looks. It is actually extremely clever and horribly dangerous. One of its main talents is being able to see colours that far surpass even the furthest imagination of humans. As well as, it is an efficient killing machine, it has two appendages at the front of its body which can lash out so powerfully that they cause the water surrounding the creature to reach boiling point! So, even the clever prey that have managed to avoid the physical attack will be rendered defenceless by the boiling water. 3. Pelican Eel Eel’s in general are quite creepy looking, but this one has taken it to another level. This slippery character is basically just a huge mouth with a tail attached. The mouth itself is absolutely terrifying, it unhinges so that its owner can catch prey that is twice its size. The chosen prey is then stored in a pouch within the lower jaw. However, the tail can be just as weird as it possesses a small light producing organ that is called a photophore and this gives off an eerie pink glow. 2. Humpback Anglerfish The female of this species most certainly has a licence to kill. She uses her feminine charm which comes in the form of a bioluminescent lure dangling over her forehead to draw in prey that she can destroy with her rows of ferocious teeth. 1. Predatory Tunicate This is basically a Venus Fly Trap that lives underwater. They are almost completely translucent and they stick themselves to the sea floor and wait patiently for a tasty meal to come along. Once an unsuspecting critter falls for the trap the creatures snap their hoods shut until they’ve had their fill. numerous vessels claim to have witnessed the massive humanoid-beings rise from the depths of the ocean. These mysterious creatures, are called Ningen which translates as “human” in Japanese. The first time this giant humanoid sea creature was seen, was by a Japanese research vessel, off the coast of Antarctica in the 1990s. According to witnesses, there are creatures who have a human-like shape, often with legs, arms, and even five-fingered hands. Sometimes they are described with fins or a large tail like that of mermaids. 💜 Subscribe and like if you enjoyed the video. You won't believe that fishermen actually caught these gigantic sea monsters! Subscribe to our channel: http://goo.gl/9CwQhg SyFy recently aired the third film in their so-bad-its-good “Sharknado” series, prompting some to wonder if airborne, tornado-based sharks could actually be real. Okay, so no one is really wondering that. Still, though, the ocean continues to represent a great unknown to us, providing home to countless species, many of which remain a mystery to humanity. The more we learn about what lurks deep below the surface, the more we realize still remains uncovered. With two-thirds of the Earth’s surface covered in water, it stands to reason that a great deal of that space remains unexplored. Of course, just because humankind hasn’t covered every iota of ground along the ocean floor, it doesn’t mean that those areas are uninhabited. All we know for sure is that the truly deepest depths of the world’s oceans continue to offer surprises, even as scientific technology becomes increasingly advanced. New species unlike any others known before are routinely discovered, with entirely new and alien biomes in extreme environments that no life had even been thought possible have challenged our very notions of what life is and how it has evolved. Amidst the cold darkness of a low-lying ocean area with depths that no sunlight can penetrate lies an alien world of incredibly rare and mysterious species. While many are simple, harmless omnivores, they share the ocean floor with some pretty unsettling forces. These ocean-based creatures – those that we know about, anyway – change everything we think we know about fish. Each one has at least one predominant feature that stands out as being unlike anything seen before. Think you know sharks? Well, how about one with a saw-like nose or a frilly, eel-like body. Think you’ve seen some big fish? How about a 17-metre long swimmer or a 900-pound squid or even a 5,000-pound behemoth sunfish? Lurking within the ocean are a number of deadly, threatening, vicious creatures that are naturally designed and programmed to hunt and stalk their prey. Thankfully, most of these monsters live at pressures that humans could never survive at – not that they would survive long down there, anyway. In recent years, Hollywood has sparked a fascination with zombies, aliens and other forces that exist beyond the realms of our planet and that are not steeped in reality. Despite that, some of the strangest and most terrifying creatures in the universe lie beneath the surface of bodies of water with which we are, at least partially, familiar. As we sit on a beach staring out at the natural beauty of the Pacific Ocean, we remain blissfully oblivious to all that lurks within. This list seeks to open the door to an entire world of deep sea activity, featuring a cast of creepy and spooky characters that few even know exist. These 10 fish, some of whom may seem to be borne out of your darkest nightmares, are all very real and may give you second thoughts the next time you foray into the ocean. And these are just the ones we know about… Check out these other awesome videos! 10 Shockingly Large Creatures That Actually Exist https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9odlL5Ti3dc 10 Things That Will Happen When Humans Go Extinct https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ml_awEqbEE Our Social Media: Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/TheRichest.org Twitter: https://twitter.com/TheRichest_Com Instagram: http://instagram.com/therichest For more videos and articles visit: http://www.therichest.com/

In this video, we will explore the top 10 mythical sea creatures. Number 10. Cthulhu. Cthulhu is an undersea monster and has been described as a mix between a giant octopus, a man and a dragon... It is hundreds of meters tall, with human-looking arms and legs and a pair of wings on its back. Cthulhu's head looks like an octopus, with tentacles surrounding its supposed mouth... H. P. Lovecraft's story, "The Call of Cthulhu", established the character as a malevolent entity hibernating within an underwater city in the South Pacific called R'lyeh... Games company TSR included an entire chapter on the Cthulhu mythos in Deities & Demigods (1980)… Number 9. Leviathan. The Leviathan of the Middle Ages was used as an image of Satan, attempting to eat God’s creatures... Leviathan became associated with, and may originally have referred to, the visual motif of the Hellmouth, a monstrous animal into whose mouth the damned disappear at the Last Judgement... Young Earth Creationists argue that both the Leviathan and the Behemoth in the Bible could only have been dinosaurs that they claim still existed when the Book of Job was written... In the study of demonology, the Leviathan is one of the seven princes of Hell and its gatekeeper.

Baby Starfish Check out this little dude. Or dudette. It gets a little complicated because starfish can have both male and female anatomy all at once. That’s gonna make for a complicated discussion with the parents later in life. When he or she is bigger they’ll look a bit different, but for now let’s enjoy the sight of a squishy-looking baby starfish! 9. Baby Green Sea Urchin Sea urchins are among the most mysterious creatures of the sea. And they are prickly!! But just like any other creature they can be so cute when they’re young! An important thing you should know is that the urchin goes through an extraordinary transformation process that wouldn’t look out of place on a show like Star Trek. 8. Glaucus Atlanticus This creature looks just like a pokemon, doesn’t it?? Like a Pokemon, it’s sweet but can be dangerous. Another name for this fascinating critter, known as Glaucus Atlanticus is ‘blue dragon’, and dragons aren’t known for being friendly. But in this cute little tiny size, who can resist? Because they are so pretty! They are also known as blue angels and sea swallows. Full grown the can be up to 3 centimeters long. 7. Baby Octopus Nothing will make your day more than the sight of a baby octopus! So heartwarming! Which is interesting really because an octopus is born with three hearts! Plus it’s a baby octopus and practically any baby sea creature is bound to be cute. I just don’t have enough time in this video!! 6. Sea Bunny This is another case of something that looks downright adorable but is in fact deceptively badass. Still extremely cute though, right? Meet the Sea Bunny Slug which looks just like some kind of sweet and tiny, furry creature. Native to the Indo-Pacific Ocean, it’s a slug whose less adorable name is Jorunna parva. 5. Baby Frogfish The frogfish has a reputation as a famous undersea imitator. It has excellent camouflage and can blend in with its surroundings and fool both predators and prey. When it’s a baby however, it does a pretty good impression of something that’s super cute. Look at the little fella. Awww! 4. Little Nudibranch Well look who it is… a baby nudibranch. Hey there we were just talking about you! Seems to be a lot of little slugs in the ocean! Not that we’re complaining when you look this adorable. The name comes from ‘Nudibranchia’ meaning ‘naked gills’ which is kind of odd as their gills are feathery. 3. Baby Ghost Crab Of all the entries on this list, this one definitely has the most unappealing name. Ghost Crab sounds kind of spooky!! It has another name which is the “Mole Crab” which doesn’t exactly sell it to us. But what’s in a name! This little guy is considered by some to be very tiny and cute! 2. Baby Seahorse Baby seahorses are arguably the cutest thing you’ll find in the ocean. Want to know something that’ll make them seem even cuter? They’re the product of love, not just procreation. Well, we like to think of it that way! The male and the female stay together for life, and perform a kind of dance as part of a ritual each morning. How romantic! 1. Baby Sea Turtle Sea turtles are loved by just about everyone, but baby sea turtles? They give baby seahorses a run for their money!! The female sea turtles will make the tiresome journey to get to the sandy beach, dig a hole and lay up to 100 eggs. The sea turtles will then hatch and make a mad dash for the water, trying to avoid all kinds of predators from birds to foxes, to racoons, to the ghost crab. From Mermaids to The Kraken, from Sirens to The Loch Ness Monster, here are some of the mythical creatures that are rumored to be alive. SUBSCRIBE for the latest videos: https://goo.gl/7xzjzR 12 Jormungandr The Jormungandr, or the Midgard Serpent, is the middle child of giantess Angrboda and Loki. Odin, god of gods, took Loki’s three children, the wolf Fenrir, Hel and Jormungand and threw the serpent in the great ocean that surrounds Midgard. It grew so large that it managed to surround the earth and grab it’s own tail. Thor, the thunder-god, is the arch-enemy of Jormungand and it is said that when the serpent releases it’s tail, Ragnarok, or the end of the world, will begin. 10 Sirens Not exactly a water creature, but it was a deadly threat to those travelling at sea. Sirens were dangerous monsters that lured sailor and ships with their enchanting voices, causing them to shipwreck on the rocky coast of their Island. The greeks and romans were terrified of them. Part woman, part bird, they played a variety of musical instruments, especially the harp. It is said that Ulysses was so curious as to what exactly made the siren’s song so enchanting, so he ordered his sailor to plug their ears with beeswax, tie him to the ship’s mast and leave him there, no matter how much he begged. Upon hearing their beautiful song, Ulysses went mad and screamed to be released. His men tied him even tighter until they passed out of earshot and their song could no longer be heard. It is said that the sirens were fated to die if any anybody listened to their song and escaped, and after Ulysses left, they flung themselves into the ocean and perished. 8 Yacuruna The indigenous people of the Amazon tell tales of the Yacuruna, water people, similar to human beings, that live in beautiful underwater cities, often at the mouths of rivers. They are described as hairy beings, with their heads turned backwards and having deformed feet. During the day, they sleep on the bottom of the rivers and lakes, and at night they roam the amazon riding a crocodile as a canoe and using a boa snake as a necklace. The Yacuruna can communicate and have control over the animals of the rainforest and it is said that they can transform into the Amazon River Dolphin, which is attracted by the blood in menstruating women. Once the woman is found, it transforms into a handsome man and seduces the woman, using aphordisiacs to kidnapp her and bring her to his underwater kingdom. With time, she gradually starts resembling her captor. Once the transformation of a human into a Yacuruna is complete, it is irreversible and they can never go back home. 7 Loch Ness Monster The Loch Ness Monster, or Nessie, is a creature inhabiting the Loch Ness lake in the Scottish Highlands. It is probably one of the most famous lake monster, and it is reported as being very large in size, with a long neck and humps protruding out of the water. The first sighting was in the 6th century AD, when Irish saint Columba met with a group of people burying a man near River Ness. One of the men was swimming and a water beast grabbed him and dragged him underwater. When the beast returned for one of Saint Columba’s men, he drove the creature away by making the sign of the cross and commanding the creature to leave. As the years passed, many more people reported seeing a strange creature in the lake, and The Loch Ness monster first gained worldwide attention with the now famous “surgeon’s photograph”, that shows a serpent-like creature sticking it’s head out of the water. Some say the Loch Ness monster is either a myth or just a hoax. Others say that Nessie is in fact an ancient Plesiosaurus. 5 Nymph Nymphs are divine spirits, often found in forests and mountains, near the placed they are bound to, like rivers or lakes. They look like very beautiful women, but are in fact deities 3 Kraken Near the coast of Norway and Greenland lives a giant monster that has been the stuff of nightmares for anybody who dared venture out to sea. For centuries, the Kraken has been one of the most terrifying creatures that inhabit the ocean. It is a huge, octopus like creature. It attacks anyone who disturbs its waters, from fishing boats to large ships. There is no way to escape it’s tentacles, which they use to embrace a whole ship, crushing it, and pulling it deep underwater. 1 Mermaid/Merman Of course you’ve heard of Mermaids, or their male counterparts, the Mermen. They have the upper body of a human, and the tail of a fish. They have been sighted since the times of the Assyrians, even Christopher Columbus saw them during his exploration of the Caribbean! Mermaids are associated with floods, drownings and shipwrecks, although they are not necessarily evil, sometimes they do good, blessing the fortunate, teaching them hidden knowledge, or falling in love with humans. Some say they are just manatees or stingrays. Until we actually find one, there’s plenty of stories about mermaid to read.

Check out the strangest creatures found living in antarctica! This top 10 list of weird and bizarre discovered species has some unbelievable animals you won't believe actually exist! Subscribe to World5List: http://goo.gl/cpJSA6 Check out our "Superpowers You Can Get RIGHT NOW!" video at: https://youtu.be/a6QmVdBTf0g Check out our "6 Places More Mysterious Than The Bermuda Triangle...?" video at: https://youtu.be/v9VarHk6_cY Check out our "8 Bizarre Things People Found in Their Pool" video at: https://youtu.be/gH7ywvBgXkE 13. The Invertebrates I'm going to start right now with a class of creatures that you likely wouldn't expect to talk about when discussing Antarctica...invertebrates. Or, creatures without a spine. You might even think that these creatures don't exist on this continent, but you would be wrong. In fact, about 67 different kinds of invertebrates live on this frozen tundra. 12. Blue-Eyed Shag Ok, I'll be fully honest here, I put the Blue-Eyed Shag on this list because it looks strange, and then when I read up on it, it became even stranger. Let's start with some basics first. You might think that a Shag is a form of Penguin, but it's not. They're actually cormorants, which are a different definition of bird entirely, and in some ways, they're more efficient and talented than penguins are. 11. Eulagisca Gigantea The less I talk about this one? The better, but I'll do it. This...thing...is found in the oceans around Antarctica, but hey, it counts. Besides, look at this thing! Just about everything here is strange or wrong, or VERY WRONG! 10. Colossal Squid Sticking with the ocean creatures of Antarctica, let's talk about a creature that may have inspired a legend. The Colossal Squid is a very rare squid. Both to see...and to find. They only live near Antarctica in its cold waters, and its technically the only member of its genus, Mesonychoteuthis. 9. Icefish You ever hear the phrase, "He's got ice in his veins"? Meaning that they're cool and calm under pressure? Well, there's a fish that's like that, and it's literally called the Icefish. What's strange about them is that they're technically not just cold-blooded, they're just plain cold. In fact, their blood has no red blood cells. 8. Hairy Chested Hoff Crab Let's have a little fun, shall we? Look at the name of this creature. What comes to mind when you hear it? I'll give you a hint, it should remind you of something famous. Give up? Well, this unique crab was named after the one and only...David Hasselhoff. No, I'm not kidding, apparently, when this crab was discovered, the person who found it noticed their hairy-like exterior and thought of David Hasselhoff. 7. Sea Pig Another example of a strange name, the Sea Pig is almost exactly what it sounds like. ironically though, they are also known as sea cucumbers, which is again...strange. Also strange is how numerous they are. During a survey of the Antarctic waters, the BAS Royal Research Ship James Clark Ross, tried to catch and research as many animals as they could. 6. Krill Let's keep things small for a bit, ok? If you look at the food chain of the Antarctic waters, you're going to see a very small, and very strange creature at the bottom. Krill. In fact, Krill are not only the food of many creatures in the ocean, including big things like whales, they're actually one of the most basic organisms in the food chain itself, which is no small feat. 5. Feather Star My first entry was about the invertebrates of the Antarctic land, but what about the invertebrates of the Antarctic ocean? Well, that's another matter entirely, and one of the strangest ones has to be the Feather Star. 4. Basket Star Yeah, from feathers to baskets, there's some weird stuff underneath the oceans of Antarctica. So, why does the Basket Star top the Feather Star? Well, it has to do with its looks. The feather star could be mistaken for a starfish of sorts because of its shape. The Feather Star though? Looks like a living tree with no leaves. 3. Soft Coral It's coral...that's alive! Now, yes, coral is technically alive all over the world, but there's just something strange about this particular one that I have trouble explaining. It could be its flowery appearance, or the fact that it's able to survive in these cold waters, I don't know, but it's strange, I can attest to that. 2. Skates No, not like actual human skates, they're called Skates, and they're actually one of the rarest creatures near Antarctica. What's also strange is that they're one of the last creatures to use their mouths for crushing their food and not just biting them. They crush shellfish into submission and eat their innards. 1. Comb Jellies I can't even begin to describe just what these things are, but I'll do my best. Comb Jellies, despite what you think, are not Jellyfish, they are actually Ctenophora, which is a very special kind of see-through animal that can make its way through the oceans and look darn good doing it.

Top 10 most amazing animals found in the ocean Subscribe to TheHub http://goo.gl/87YJzG For copyright matters please contact us at: [email protected] Remember those fishing trips with your parents when you were just a kid? You’d be amazed every time you caught something, and your parents would act impressed, too, even if it was smaller than your palm. At the time you’d find it hard to believe that there were creatures in the ocean bigger than that. Obviously, now that you’ve grown older, you’re aware of some of the huge beasts that grace our seas. Of course, there’s the blue whale or the great white shark, but have you ever considered some of the lesser-known creatures out there? We’ve put together a list of some of the biggest living things you’ll find in the ocean – although they’re not necessarily all things you would like to catch. For example, you most definitely do not want to come across a Giant Spider Crab while paddling at the shore, although chance would be a fine thing, as they don’t tend to swim to the surface. Or what about the Fin Whale? A far friendlier giant, it’s one you should try and see in your lifetime – if it doesn’t get hunted into extinction anytime soon. If you’re venturing further afield, and happen to be in Antarctica, you might be lucky enough to be greeted by a Southern Elephant Seal. You’ll be surprised to find out why it’s named that, too. Some other interesting beasts in our video include the Lion’s Mane Jellyfish, the Oceanic Manta Ray and the Whale Shark, but you’ll have to watch the video to find out the rest.

top 10 strangest unidentified animals from the ocean and sea washed ashore Subscribe to our channel: http://goo.gl/9CwQhg For copyright matters please contact us at: [email protected] Other Videos You Might Like Creatures You Won't Believe Exist https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fznDB9SY6-0 Most Mysterious Treasures Found Underwater https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7eMfgS7rx_4 Most BRUTAL Military Drills in the World https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kkz2S1CynLY 10 Weird Inventions You Need To See To Believe https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xfTVbsaq3BE Description: While we humans may like to think that we have discovered every creature in the Animal Kingdom, we are still running into animals that we cannot identify. When this happens, the public has a habit of going crazy and thinking that we have discovered the Loch Ness monster, Big Foot, or even some sort of supernatural creature like an alien. In short, the media loves it when a creature washes up on shore. Even with cameras and probes going all over the place, we still haven’t been able to track down, test, and identify every animal that walks on this Earth. We are still trying to make sense of the fossils that we are still digging up despite the archaeology field being over a century old. One of the most common places for the discovery of new creatures is on the beach. Usually, we are only seeing the dead corpses of these creatures and we have no idea about what these animals were like in life. Also, since post-mortem has the ability to drastically change appearances, sometimes we might even be looking at an animal we already know about, we have mistaken it for something weird. Because we haven’t even been able to touch a percent of the creatures in the ocean, there is still a completely different world under the surface that we have yet to explore. This means that we still have a lot of learning to do when it comes to Animal Kingdom, and we can start putting names to these mysterious faces and fangs sooner than we thought. Check out the most mysterious sea monsters carcasses ever found! From unidentified sea creatures to bizarre ocean animals washed ashore, this top 10 list is shrouded in mystery! Russian Specimen In 2015, the world was once again amazed as a mysterious creature washed up on a Russian beach. A giant sea creature with a bird-like "beak" and fur on its tail sparked controversy in hours! Russian social media went crazy! It was said to be similar to a dolphin but was twice the size of your average human. On top of that, it had fur. Pretty strange since sea creatures are not commonly seen with fur!! Some claim it resembles a Ganges River dolphin, which are normally found in the freshwater regions of India, Pakistan, Nepal and Bangladesh. These dolphins have a small hump instead of a dorsal fin, a brown coloring and the tendency to swim on their sides. But, there is one fact that these theorists are ignoring. Ganges dolphins do not have fur! Oh yeah! Plus, they are much smaller than this mysterious Russian creature. Because of this, these individuals counter back with their suggestion that the creature was simply a washed up llama or other mammal. They say perhaps the beak was actually a snout and the body composition was previously mistaken for a sea creature. To this day, no one knows for sure what it is, and chances are…it’s probably too late now! 8. New Zealand Beast New Zealand hasn’t had just one case of a sea monster carcass shrouded in mystery. Back in 2013, a mysterious thing washed ashore causing insane speculation across the country. The Daily Mail reports that “A YouTube video filmed by Elizabeth Ann on Pukehina Beach shows the half-buried head of a carcass with jagged teeth and gaping jaws”. Only its head and what looks like flippers are visible above the sand. This beast could have been up to 30 feet long!! A marine biologist suggested it was a whale. Other theories ranged from a seal to a crocodile to a dinosaur!! Yes, people say it is some ancient creature that no longer exists! What that creature really was has yet to be determined. 7. Bermuda Blob There is no doubt that Bermuda is full of mysteries. One of these is the appearance of not one…but two mysterious blobs that appeared nearly ten years apart. The Bermuda Blob is the name given to two globsters, or unidentified sea creature carcasses, that washed ashore on Bermuda in 1988 and 1997. The first Bermuda Blob was found by Teddy Tucker, a fisherman and treasure hunter, in Mangrove Bay in May 1988. The man said the blob was about "2½ to 3 feet thick . . . very white and fibrous . . . with five 'arms or legs,' rather like a disfigured star." To further prove its existence, samples of the specimen were gathered and analyzed in 1995. It is believed that these specimens were from a poikilothermic sea creature, either a large teleost or an elasmobranch. Yeah, that really clears it up doesn’t it?? This just means it was a large bony fish, shark or ray. Another suggested that the remains belonged to a whale. The same thing happened in 1997 but it wasn’t analyzed until 2004. Evidence from this sample suggested a whale again. But of course, nothing was ever proven, and science itself leaves this case open, as another one of the ocean’s greatest mysteries. 6. Muriwai Monster Some other very strange things have been popping up on New Zealand beaches after the earthquakes in 2016. The large weird-looking object that looked like it was covered in dreadlocks washed up on Muriwai beach in Auckland. Melissa Doubleday discovered it and thought it was a beached whale. She posted pictures to facebook to get some ideas and people suggested everything from a sea monster with dreadlocks to an alien pod time capsule! The real answer is probably way more boring than this. New Zealand Marine Sciences Society believes it is a piece of driftwood covered in gooseneck barnacles. Gooseneck barnacles are crustaceans that attach themselves to driftwood or rocks, but this is a rather extreme case, wouldn’t you say? They normally use biochemical cement and a peduncle to glue themselves onto objects underwater. They then ride water currents to wave their appendages in order to filter out food particles. Fun fact: Gooseneck barnacles are said to be a delicacy in Spain and Portugal. Now, does this amazing creature really look like a thousand appetizers? Or does it look more like a Rastafarian sea monster? That’s what I thought! Origins Explained is the place to be to find all the answers to your questions, from mysterious events and unsolved mysteries to everything there is to know about the world and its amazing animals!

But today you are lucky because here are 5 Unexplained & Mysterious Deep Sea Creatures Caught On Camera! Prepare because here.... we begin... 1. The Corfu Island Creature A Scottish tourist named Harvey Robertson had the shock of his life as he found the image of a mysterious creature in his vacation’s pictures. Harvey was on a cruise with his family in Corfu when he took a series of photographs from the inside of a cave. But what he didnt notice was the monster he captured in a cave around the island of Corfu that has a snout and unusual eyes with very uncommon characteristics. Up to this day, biologists are still examining this mysterious sea creature but havent found one clue to what it can be. Although people are starting to think that this could be an animal from the Greek mythology. Interesting..... 2. Giant Pyrosome Divers in Australia have captured rare images of the Pyrostremma , or pyrosome sea creature off the coast of Tasmania. It is so rare that it has been dubbed as the 'Unicorn of the Sea' and can grow up to 30 metres long - the equivalent of two double-decker buses laid end-to-end. Its hollow, translucent, cylindrical body is made up of thousands of tiny clones called zooids that pull water through its tubes and feed on plankton before pushing the filtered water back out. (Say this while video is also playing) 3. The Flying Spaghetti Monster This unusual marine animal you are about to see was recently caught on camera near the coast of Angola.A team from BP was carrying out routine operations near an oil well, using a remotely operated underwater vehicle at a depth of 1325 metres, when they spotted the creature, which they nicknamed the flying spaghetti monster. Intrigued, they sent footage of it to Daniel Jones from the National Oceanography Centre in Southampton, UK. Here is the footage of the mysterious deep sea creature. 4. The Mysterious Jellyfish The video you are about to see shows a very strange deep sea creature that was unexpectedly floating into view on an oil ridge camera. The mysterious sea creature was spotted 5 thousand feet deep in the gulf of New Mexico 2 years ago but was just identified by a marine biologist. After so much research, The biologist then found out that this strange creature you are about to see is actually a giant deep sea jellyfish.Take a look at the footage... 5. The Mysterious Giant Squid Squids are not known to spend time at the surface and usually live deep underwater which are most commonly being discovered when they die and wash up on the beaches. From mythical giant squids, to completely bizarre fish, these are the weirdest animals washed up on shore ! # 5 Conjoined Gray Whales On January 5th of 2015, extremely rare conjoined grey whale calves washed up on the shores of Baja California, Mexico. The Siamese twins measured about seven to ten feet in length which is about 5-6 feet shorter than most gray whale calves. Although many people don’t see them, according to veterinarian Michael Moore, conjoined twins being born to large whales is not completely unheard of. However they’re rarely seen because of how hard it is to give birth and raise two whales out in the middle of the ocean. When they washed up, concerns were raised about it being the results of the nuclear fallout from the Fukushima plant meltdown but after testing the DNA of the twins no radiation was found. # 4 Hairy Dolphin In 2015, a really strange creature washed up onto the coast of Russia. It looked like a completely strange sight to see in the cold region as dolphins aren’t native to the region. The carcass was also very strange looking - although it seemed like a the remains of an Indian or Ganges dolphin it was also covered in what looked like fur. The reason that the dolphin ended up all the way over by Russia is because a sudden change in warm water currents allowed it to swim out to Russian Waters. However, the surge of warmth quickly fades and the dolphin is left in water that is too cold for it to survive in which leads to it freezing to death. Before this lost dolphin wound up on shore, it collected algae that began to grow on its corpse. That algae is what gives it the appearance of having fur. # 3 Longnosed Batfish This completely baffling creature washed up on a beach in Brazil for tourists to find. It has wings, legs, and a tail and a strange nose looking appendage which makes it seem like the product of a randomizer in a Create-A-Fish game. It is actually the Longnosed Batfish which, while unknown to many people, is documented by scientists. It has evolved jointed fins and legs which allow it to walk along the seafloor in search of food and a strange suction tube like mouth which allows it to suck up their meals. Even though it’s not exactly a new discovery, it's strange and shocking appearance is just more proof of how little we know about our own ocean. # 2 Hairless Mystery Creature In December of 2014, this partly decomposed, hairy creature washed up onto a beach in Santa Barbara. It was discovered near a dredge pipe on the beach after a major brutal storm. Because of the violent storm, it’s hard to understand where it could have originated from. This picture was taken by Josh Menard, a 19 year old snowboarder from Lake Tahoe. Menard described it as having the body shape of a pig, a fat stomach, and insanely large canines. This mysterious hairless creature has been left unidentified but some hypotheses include a dog and a wolf. # 1 Millions of Velella velella In 2014, millions of creatures colloquially called “by-the-wind sailors” were washing up along the west coast from California to Oregon. The jellyfish like creatures are scientifically known as Velella velella and are actually hydrozoans, not jellyfish. The creatures look like strange little half blown plastic bags. Because they float freely with water and wind currents they don’t really have control over where they go. They’re usually found free floating around in the Pacific Ocean but they can be found all over the world. Every few years a really big storm might throw currents way off and end up setting millions of by-the-wind sailors crashing into beaches. Sometimes, they can even be found in piles 2 to 3 feet high. They don’t sting when touched but they do emit a specific rotting smell when they pile on in the beach.
