PL/SQL Function to split string into array

Oracle DECOMPOSE Function

01:41
The Oracle DECOMPOSE function is used to transform a string into a Unicode string. It will split a character that has an accent, for example, into two characters. It’s the opposite of the COMPOSE function. The syntax of the DECOMPOSE function is: DECOMPOSE ( input_string [CANONICAL|COMPATIBILITY] ) The parameters of this function are: - input_string is the string that will be decomposed into separate character values in a string. It can be any character data type. - CANONICAL|COMPATIBILITY is an optional parameter and allows you to specify the mode of decomposition. CANONICAL is the default. CANONICAL means it can be re-composed with the COMPOSE function. COMPATIBILITY means that it can’t be re-composed, but it can be useful for katakana characters.
