Part 1: Let's Play Lords of Magic, Order - "Gandalf the Grey"

30:31
If you enjoyed this episode, please consider supporting it with a like and a comment, it helps out the channel a lot! Lords of Magic is a turn-based strategy PC game designed for Windows 95/98 by Sierra Entertainment. The game was intended to combine elements of Heroes of Might and Magic II and Lords of the Realm II. The special edition also contains the Legends of Urak quest pack, a set of five individual quests that revolve around stories unrelated to the main plot of the game. The world is filled with wandering monsters and fixed buildings filled with monsters. Lords of Magic is notably different from other strategy games in that it has only one map, with each faith starting at a different location. This led to a somewhat repetitive nature, counteracted somewhat by a supplied map editor. Throughout the game, players travel across the High-Fantasy land of Urak (which is split into 8 distinct regions for every faith), building an army composed of archers, footsoldiers, cavalry, and creatures. The over-world map gameplay is turn based; as players manage cities and move their armies. When beginning a battle the gameplay switches to real time. Champions and Lords can be equipped with treasures found throughout dungeons or from other factions. As the game progresses, many faithless marauding parties will attempt to disrupt the faith's economies and progress. There is also a loose diplomacy system that can be used to interact with other factions as well for trade or the exchange of research. The main goal of the game is to defeat Balkoth, Lord of Death, by any means necessary; even conquering every other faith in Urak. After finishing the game once, players can restart as Balkoth with the new goal of defeating the Life faith. Part 1: Let's Play Lords of Magic, Order - "Gandalf the Grey"

Lords of Magic: Special Edition - Life Warrior (Full Playthrough)

01:11:11
Difficulty: Hard This game is a Mix of TBS and RTS, very similar to lords of the realm 2, but instead of city management, we only control a single lord and his champions/minions, it is necessary to pay for the training of a unit, also an upkeep, so occupying mines and cities will provide resources to help to reach our goal. Lords of magic was developed by Impressions Games and published by Sierra Entertainment.

Lords of Magic SE: Tricks 01 - Dragon in 1st Turn (no cheats)

04:40
This video contains gameplay footage from the game "Lords of Magic: Special Edition". The sound was mixed in during "post-production" using "Ulead Video Studio 11", as "Camstudio" refuses to record any sound on my laptop. In this video I demonstrate a way to aquire a Dragon (an end-game unit) in the game's 1st turn. For this, I made a custom (hard difficulty) earth warrior and added a lv4 Thief to his party. When the game starts, it'll place 2 Barrows in random locations on earth's territory - 1 lv2 and 1 lv4. The 2nd floor of the lv4 Barrow ALWAYS contains a Witch with a "Polymorph Other" spell, so if you manage to sneak past the 1st floor units, you can try provoking the Witch to polymorph you. As your level's the same as hers, there's a good chance she'll turn you into an end-game unit, like the Dragon. I purpously left the Witch alive and left the Barrow, so I could use her again later if I wanted to. This is also doable with a lv3 Thief, but you'll have significantly lower chance of success.

With the game over, I briefly show you the mechanics of playing as Balkoth and more importantly, why in the basic version of the game he is cheap as hell to play as. I hope you enjoyed this playthrough of the game - there are a lot of different ways to play it, most lords have to go about it a different way. See you next LP!

Lords of Magic Hard Difficulty Speedrun against Malkasphia

32:30
This is my attempt at beating Hard difficulty on Lords of Magic in the least amount of turns. Myself and Malkasphia are attempting to do this challenge by following these rules. 1. Must be on Hard difficulty 2. No restarts unless Lord is Killed. As I said this is my attempt. I will not be uploading it to SDA because of the sound glitch, I had to remove part of the ending as well because of a bug with hypercam, also I had to minimize my game at one point to remove the sound glitch. I'll do a better run that hopefully won't run into problems. This is my attempt. Balkoth is killed on turn 35. Enjoy. I'll add a link to Mal's run when he's finished it.
