Maldivian overwater bungalows don't get better than this! Thank you Soneva Jani! https://www.soneva.com/soneva-jani/ Today we left our resort of Soneva Fushi with a lot of emotions. We fell in love with this island and didn't want to leave, but we also couldn't WAIT to spend the night in Kara's dream accommodation - an overwater bungalow!!! Nothing could have prepared us for what we experienced. Soneva Yani is the most beautiful and luxurious place we have EVER been!

Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, we got married June 2013 and quickly caught the travel bug! We started “travel hacking” and taking more trips together and finally decided we wanted to travel for one year. After 2 years of saving $ and travel hacking over 2 million miles and points, we sold our cars and apartment and left home January 10, 2016. We started this YouTube channel to share our experiences with friends and family, then decided we really liked vlogging and traveling. So we extended our 1 year trip to THREE years :) Now we have a goal of traveling to 100 countries before Nate turns 30 (which is March 20, 2019)! We are incredibly thankful to do something we love every day. :)
Am I the only one thinking, I will be bored out of my minds. There are no humans in sight! Only one more person for company! I don't know not for me.The couch on roof looked sad to me, so many pillows but only two people. Maybe this can be good for a group of people. Or people living in crowded cities, looking for a break from social circles.
Love love love this place and the video 😍 most of the travel videos i watch are all music in background, just loved how you showed everything around, i felt like i was actually there while watching the video 😀

One of you should work for a hotel and the other an airline. Granted you can't travel every single day lol. That's what we are currently doing now. Fly free standby with multiple airlines or small costs and employee discount rates on hotels. However, It doesn't always work out flying standby but utilizing your credit card routine may provide a safety net for when flying standby doesn't always workout. Something to think about when you decide to transfer back into the real world lol.
Child marriages are common:
On a recent day, eight community elders sat in a [refugee] camp, some chewing khat, the narcotic leaf favored by most Yemeni men. Seven have married off their girls this year.
Even Salim, the elder who worked at the charity, is preparing to marry off his two daughters, ages 13 and 14. "I want to feel secure of their futures, if only for economic reasons," he said.
Mohammad Ali al-Ansi married off his two girls, ages 13 and 14, in April. "My heart is bleeding inside, but I was forced to do this," he said. "I have no job. Its difficult for me to feed my 10 children." He received $1,600 in dowry for each of his girls, he said. But after paying for their weddings and meeting other debts, the money has nearly run out. "If things get worse, theres no doubt Ill marry off my 12-year-old daughter," Ansi said.
More on Ansis 14-year-old daughter Fatma, married to 21-year-old Zaid:
Fatma spent her day cooking and washing clothes for her in-laws. When asked the name of her husbands family, Fatma didnt know it. She remembers her father telling her and her sister, Amal, that the family needed money. She remembers that Amal was in tears because her new husband was taking her to another region. The two sisters have not seen each other since their weddings.
"I am too young to be married," Fatma said. "I want to study. I want to learn how to write. I have sacrificed for my family," she continued, her voice dropping to a whisper.
Minutes later, her husband arrived at the tent, and Fatma went silent. He said Fatma was "at a good age to marry." When asked if she could attend school, he shook his head no. "Shes a little too old for school," he said.
Female sexual freedom among the Tuareg : Flora Drury has written up the sex habits of the Saharas Muslim Tuareg people based on the work by Henrietta Butler. Some excerpts:
Their men became known as the blue men of the Sahara because the dye from their distinctive indigo scarves rub off onto their faces giving them a mysterious air. The Tuareg evoke images of a long forgotten and romantic age.
