What happens when strangers read your deepest secrets? We partnered with Frank Warren at PostSecret to see how strangers react to other people's secrets that may just hit close to home for them. For over a decade, PostSecret has received more than 1 million anonymous secrets from around the world mailed on one side of a decorated postcard. This ongoing community art project continues to uncover our most private confessions and our common humanity, one secret at a time. My heart truly ached for the black woman. I loved the honesty and rawness in what she was saying.

My secret: Ive worked in a lot of places where encountering people is common. Like chatrooms, pages, outside places, ect. Its not that I dont like black people, I just hate how most of them act. If i were to enforce a rule, no matter how nicely I asked, theyd get rude and feel entitled to act however they want at these places or events.. everyone had to listen to rules no matter who they were. Some of these people just get so defensive. So I guess in a sense work has turned me "racist"... Oh well.

A deep secret of mine: I really hate my body and no one understands that it’s hard for me to go on a diet.
Maliyah Boone (10 months ago)
do they pick strangers’ confessions and give it to people that can relate to it? and if so how do they know? do they ask them questions before ??
Margarita Luisa (11 months ago)
I really like the idea of this format but the editing just confuses me. I can't remember what quote they had...
Pinhead Larry (11 months ago)
The black woman didn't understand what they meant. It pretty obvious that they probably dealt with many bad black people. Maybe they worked in low income neighborhoods with majority being black. They weren't told to be racist they became racist because of experience.

I used to tell my brother my secrets, but now that we're older I don't tell him my secrets anymore because he has developed a big mouth . I know that my brother has been telling my secrets, because one day my dad asked me about something, that I have just talked to my brother about and I found that awfully funny. Then he almost blurted something out in front of my dad and I gave him a death look.

As a victim. I have been opened to never keep anything in. I grew up angry. My grand parents didn’t know why I was acting up. As an adult I am more at peace and work with teens that have been through the same. 😌😌👍🏾
to the black girl, I don't think the police officer became a racist because of what he was trained to think. He probably became racist because of the things he saw and the way he got treated by certain groups of people, because he was a ''white pig''. Becoming racist is NEVER right, but walk in a cop's shoes for a week and see what kind of stuff they deal with.
akeino xiong (8 months ago)
idc if there was a group of individuals that was the same race i had problems with i could never discriminate or treat a whole race less because of a few people. theres no excuse at all to be racist. so no the cop is wrong for being racist but hes right for acknowledging it
The great Canadian bagel (10 months ago)
cops do the same every single day. They deal with some of the worst people out there, they hear their stories, they see their realities. But they still have to inforce laws, because that is their JOB!!! If we didn't have police officers, our countries would be out of control!
LoveMusicVideoArt (10 months ago)
Ellyn Gould she never said the cops racial identity- that’s more reflective of how you think her hurts works

Mikey's World It IS good, but people will still call you angry and violent
The Goober (1 year ago)
go home mikey, stop tone policing
Mikey's World (1 year ago)
I humbly disagree. SPEAKING against injustice is good and I truly believe most people would agree with that. What makes people call you angry or violent is when a group burns down their own neighborhoods, turns over police cars, throws rocks and bottles or blocks freeways. No one has ever changed someones mind for the better by doing those things. They only reinforce racist people beliefs.

I call bs on the cop one. There are tens of thousands of African American police officers in the US so I highly doubt they're basic training is brainwashing them to go specifically after black people. It's probably after his 150th call of domestic violence in the exact same neighbourhood that has turned him into a racist. I'm a racist paramedic now, not because I was told in school to be racist. Hell we have 4 different courses in the program telling you to NOT be racist. But literally after MY 150th call of a drunk Native American causing a scene in a fast food restaurant. That has made me racist.
yltraviole (11 months ago)
Sadly, alcoholism is statistically more prevalent in Native American communities, but I hope you know that that isn't because Native Americans are "just inherently" or biologically more likely to be alcoholics.
Alonzia Robinson (11 months ago)
Of course you do
LoudestWhispers (11 months ago)
Being racist isn't something to be proud of. Fix yourself.
Bre Shaw (1 year ago)
conkerlive101 I agree 1000%. It's just like serving makes you racist based on certain stereotypes seeming to always be true. I'm sure this could be said about many jobs. But I would bet all the money I have the cops aren't trained to be racist.
Brenna Lynds (1 year ago)
The man who just wants someone who truly loves him.. that makes me sad. I hope he finds someone who makes him feel worth everything ❤️
WhatAWorld (1 year ago)
Brenna Lynds- That person is HIMSELF. He must allow himself to love himself before he will be able to allow himself to truly love another... or to truly BE loved by another. It's a struggle and a process when it's been ingrained in you since a young age that you are not worthy of love. When you have been threatened with violence and ostricization just for loving. When you even see the MURDER of people who simply dared to love who they love despite what society says. When your orientation is called called perverse, sick, wrong, unacceptable. Anyone reading this who is going through this struggle: please know that it can be done. You can love yourself. Truly. Have patience with yourself. Forgive yourself for things you may have done while you hated yourself. Don't harbor the accusations of those who have hurt you. Protect yourself. Choose who to love based off of their character and not off their image. Get counseling. YOU.DESERVE.LOVE.
Well this really impressed me... some things in a better way than another
